AttentionThis does not work for bigger breast sizes.
It has been reported that from C-Cup on, it is hurtful, doesn't sit right and often won't look good. Sorry.

Yes, it's very important for the skin to be clean and dry!
On my skin, it works just fine for about 6-8hrs

Not sure if/when you'll end up getting to this, but I do have a question - exactly what type of Kindmax Sports Tape are you using? I was looking up the tape on Amazon/eBay and there are several different sizes and types in general. (2.5 cm, 5 cm, 7.5cm...) Do you recall which size you used?

Sorry to hear that but for such a size I would suggest a professional binder like from underworks! I would not risk damaging the tissue or getting problems with breathing for a simple cosplay!

I was just wondering, for how long is this safe? Like, if I were to leave this on for more than a certain amount of hours would it hurt?

Hummm I think you should feel it if something is wrong but I wouldn't recommend to wear this for a longer time than 8hrs. Yet for me, the tape usually starts to fall off before it might hurt

No, this will only work up to cup C!
Uh... uhm... I know my bust size through excessive underwear shopping.
I don't know whether that's a national thing but here you can just ask an employer about which size they would suggest and they will hand you various bras to try on and might even take a look whether it's the right size (honestly when I was about 13 I felt almost molested by their determination to help you find the right bra eeeeeeeep)

As I stated in the description, I would not recommend this for cup sizes over C and even C might be somewhat painful.
For big sizes, I would only recommend the usage of professional binders; as sold by underworks!

This is great! just one question: I've read that medical tape can also work for this method - do you think that would be suitable? Because I'm not sure how easily I can afford sportstape

I bought medical tape once because I was too short in time to order via ebay but it's not stretchy and therefore might rip off if you breathe in deeply or move too much. It's not a good idea to use it, I'm afraid. Also, for me, medical tape causes way more irritation than sportstape.

I would not recommend it! A friend of mine has a C-Cup and reported it was very unpleasant to wear a binding like this, I guess if you are larger, it might easily be painful!

Hello, I am going to cosplay lucemon next year but his whol back and half of his chest is open. How will I be able to bind my chest without showing tape. Would I have to get a leotard?

I fear you would have to go with a leotard - putting strips over the chest area only would cover up the area but not flatten anything down, so I strongly advise you to wear a leotard!

Since the straps will be seen on the backside it might not be the most favourable method and wearing a skin-colored shirt might eventually look better

I think that it could possibly work for DD if your careful. I haven't tried your method myself, but I did bind open shirt for my Hidan cosplay about a year ago. I unfortunately was stupid enough to use duct tape, lucky I put medical tape under to protect my skin. I'm a 36DD but maybe it's just me managing to make it work with the duct tape and a helping hand, so this should work for me as well, but again the duct tape wasn't smart. And I am rambling so I'm gonna stop now lol.

Just because something works for you sadly does not mean it works for everyone. I have friends with a big C cup for which it was painful and hard to manage already. When I make a tutorial like this, I have to ensure that people do not put themselves in danger because of it and I do not think it is a good idea to use this method on a larger chest. I just dont want people to stay safe and not put their health at risk if they listen to my words.

Nah, I agree. There's no point to endanger yourself when cosplaying. I'm still looking for a way for good effective binding for a larger chest size, but I don't think it will happen really. *shrug*
