AttentionThis does not work for bigger breast sizes.
It has been reported that from C-Cup on, it is hurtful, doesn't sit right and often won't look good. Sorry.

Ok, I'mma buy some extra strong tape then XD I'll let you know what the result was once I'll find the courage to do this 
A slight curve isn't that bad but a D is kinda hard to hide otherwise :/ Let's hope it turns out to be at least decent. I'll call my friend to help me when it's really hard to tape XD Thanks for the comment and the great tutorial.

I'm going to have to add 'chest binding' to one of the 101 things you can use duct tape for. I tried it, and it actually works pretty well. Thanks for the awesome tutorial!

DSFARGEG NO DUCTTAPE
thats the main message here- ducttape only works with specific brands available in specific countries (German Tesa Ducttape and you can bid farewell to half of your skin) on people with strong skin!

Yes, I realize that. The brand I use is pretty light on adhesive, and I plan on using sports tape or something like that next time.

Well, please be very careful with this then and try it at home, where you can take it off soon- it's only been tried up to Cup size C till now and in that case it was uncomfortable yet

I had to use a lot more tape then pictured though XD

Haha I have a little abs- they were stronger when I started with this cosplay and I worked out a lot but in that few time I wouldn't get results that would look strong enough (and I didn't even want too strong abs- I don't wanna look like a complete butch D
And then I lost weight and for this muscle mass and I made the make-up stronger *cough*
well with the tape you have good days and bad days. on a good day the tape is as comfortable as a bra. on bad days... lets not talk about bad days

I guess it will not work... I've heard of friends sporting a big C that already had some problems. It would be better to get a binder, although using that can hurt much, too.

(Just was asking since I don't have much money to spend cosplay-wise, so I'm going to have to stick to genderbends until I can afford to get a binder that would be comfortable for me!)

I made my binder for binding beneath costumes myself and it only cost me 3 bucks
Get some very stretchy fabric (the best would be an elastic band such as you have them in sweatpants [link] , just much broader!
Put it around your upper body, until everything is as flat an possible, while you're still being able to breath. Mark where you have to sew it together and then sew it. Put on suspenders.
Ta-da! There you have a custom binder :>

I've been planning a Shippudden Sasuke cosplay for a while now but I didn't want to have to open-shirt bind...your method is really great compared to others I've read about and I will be using it for my cosplay!

Yeah, I have to say that I first thought of making this when I saw a tutorial featuring ducttape floating around here. I was horrified, ducttape in the EU-countries is much stronger in America and will scar you horribly :/
So I thought it was better when people used my method, for the sake of not tearing off their boobies.

ummmm i know that u proberly get 100000s of questions and u might not have time to answer me but its worth a try cuz i nead to know.
im a size d bra and im might do open chest but what i wana know is about ace bandages or smthing to do binding but clossed shirt. do u think that it will still work with a size d bra or am i doomed? cuz im gona cosplay roxas from kingdom hearts and it will just look terrible if he had boobs

For closed shirt binding, I myself use an elastic band, like you have in underwear, just broader (20cms broad).
I've sewn it close on one side, so it fits my underbust-size and put straps to it, so it doesn't slip.
I really don't know if this will work for you. I'm a small B, so I don't know from my own experience, how to deal with greater sizes.
For some people, compression shirts work. ACE bandages will get tighter during the day, so I can really not recommend them to you, you might end up becoming breathless.
