Gosh, I love making portraits like this. They're a nice, quick way to practice new lighting techniques and new painting techniques. I'm still trying to master the idea of gradient shading, as seen here -> www.deviantart.com/art/Gradien… I thiiiink I'm starting to get it, though I do have a lot left to learn about it. It's certainly a nice look for icons and the like.
