Description
"Gossip"Subject(s) / Character(s):
There are two unidentified females gossiping.
Size:
-
Medium / Tools:
-unknown black pen
-(?)
Explanation:
This was a commission except instead of money itβs local publicity (if it can even be called that). The yearbook staff solicited my talents for the β08 yearbook cover.
This served as an opportunity to practice my crosshatching and color skills and although the markers I used failed me (yes, I do indeed blame the markers because the did not dilute even though they were water soluble) I do like how the crosshatching turned out. I collaborated with a friend who has been working with digital media fill in the needed colors.

Hi Jackson, in respecting artists, would you mind if I use this once (1) in a nonpublic facebook group, of a noncommercial fantasy p&p game run by a chartered nonprofit society, to illustrate the topic of gossip?Β It wouldn't be public and not a publication per se, but I'd still not do it without consent, as it isn't under a (CC) licence.

I got a little bit heavy in the crosshatching but crosshatching is a great way to show depth

Do you think it would be something you'd be interested in?
It's a very simple way of giving an object depth and, it's a method I still use in my realistic drawings. It's significantly smaller and more subdued but it's a technique I highly value.
To explain it via keyboard it's a little ///// with a little \\\\\ ontop of it to make XXXXX.
I know you can see it in the drawing and probably didn't need that (it was my poor attempt to be funny :C).

Haha that's a good explanation as is
If I could work it in subtly with my style, then I'm open to give almost anything a go. I really enjoy creating little details in my drawings, that's why I do the hair like I do. I love intricacy and being able to create a drawing that people can spend their time looking at, seeing all the little details and quirks I've added. I guess that's the only thing I pride myself on in my work XD

Wow, the cross hatching looks great.
Combined with your style of colouring it looks almost like traditional media.

We never see cross hatching anymore. I don't know why not. It's beautiful. (See sample above) Luv the smallest amount of face but the complete capture of expression, even if we don't get to see it. Over all, excellent job. You SHOULD get paid for this.

Fudged? As in people won't like it. Why so? It's splendipidous. <---XD real word? It should be!

Sorry, there were a lot of typos in my last comment (I was REALLY tired).
No, I think they helped me win those two titles because the person that placed after be had 130 less votes.

Thank you, I'm rather fond of the crosshatching myself. I used the style on a few finches that I'm hoping to up load by the weekend.
