I keep seeing these SU base maps everywhere. I don't think that the world would look anything like ours politically if this was the case. It's like with Bright: their situation is so radically changed from OTL that you should expect the society and world to look totally different, but...it just ends up being the OTL world with a few fantastical elements slapped on top. It's lazy worldbuilding and I hate it.

if they really wanted to make this an alternate timeline they sohuld have consulted experts in crafting such things
