Inspired by this beautiful photo [link]Also an attempt to achieve a slightly looser style as one of my tutors suggested but i'm not sure i went far enough.
I did try some new watercolour techniques though.
The only thing i keep the same are the elongated necks,so yes,it might look weird to some but it's completely intended.Because i like long necks.
Ink and watercolours and a touch of pencil.

love your art, your the first artist that i favorited, its nice to see art that isnt the constant anime/manga that horribly flood this site, can you give any pointers/techniques because i just started using watercolors in the traditional sense and i love how you did this face and im not bothered by the necks dont know what everyone else is complaining about its a cool effect

it's quite a loose style. Though I have a problem with the neck being so long, that I think of long-necked birds. But maybe that's the effect you're going for, to relate with the bird's nest.
Anyway, I love the colors, very minimal, loose, but great emphasis on the figure
