Inspired by this beautiful photo [link]Also an attempt to achieve a slightly looser style as one of my tutors suggested but i'm not sure i went far enough.
I did try some new watercolour techniques though.
The only thing i keep the same are the elongated necks,so yes,it might look weird to some but it's completely intended.Because i like long necks.
Ink and watercolours and a touch of pencil.
And here you see its companion piece,the Bird Song.

I really like it a lot!
and I think that in pictures like this, long necks are not an awful thing but on the contrary make it beautiful (so speaks the other neck enlongator)
I really love her features, so delicate and strong at the same time.
The colouring is great, and the detail on the lips and eyes is just awesome.

Ahaha, my hair has felt like that on several occasions x3 I really like the way you drew the neck; I think it goes well with the drawing.
But I have to ask how do you use inks with watercolors? Aren't the two resistant? (I've tried it)

And true,they usually don't mix well together but sometimes i get effects/washes that i like.Most of the times though,like in this one,it's just the linework i do with ink.

Beautiful as always... As for the looser part, I feel that you've managed to achieve it somewhat with the background and the hair, but not quite yet with the rest.
My drawing teacher was completely floored by my use of detial in object drawing... In a good way though. Mine were so very detailed compared to the rest of the class's drawings.
