+ Edit : Custom ACR presets.

+ Enjoy!

Gorgeus light... the sense of suspension, as if she was exiting onto the real world from another dimension is surreal, yet tangible.

Now to begin, it was a good setup for the shot with great comp rule of thirds/golden ratio ftw. My nitpick it the noise. It really could have benefited from a fill flash (maybe a ceiling bounce?) so you can bump down the ISO to get less noise with the shadows you wanted. Plus, a fill flash would have let you capture more detail outside since the plants wouldn't have been quite as blown out. Either that or shoot in the evening with less direct sun.

If everyone tells you, "you are perfect", then you will never improve

I started out as an assistant and it was the best experience I could recommend! Made me feel a lot more comfortable charging what I do since I already had a lot of knowledge and experience built up.

Let me know how the summer works out!

SonnarGauss [2007-02-19 00:09:23 +0000 UTC]

The low saturation was a good choice here, as was the lens considering the horizontal lines ... the organic shape of the model/dress adds awesome contrast. I can't find much fault in this shot, except I have a feeling you needed to compensate for underexposure afterwards... combined with the highish ISO I can see where noise could have been a problem especially in the shadows of the dress and back.

I was considering the 15mm too, but ended up getting a sigma 12-24 since it gives the same angle of view on a 1.6x ... the distortion is still something I wish I had though.
