Description
+ Decided to take the afternoon off and travel down to Africa for a sunset. Took the new lens along, figured I'd give it a proper testing.
Not much more to it.+ Enjoy!
+ Update: Made print available in several different ratios. 18x24, 16x20, 10x15, 8x10, 8x12, 4x5, 4x6

First look at it and YES, "Circle of Life" started ringin in my ears...
Very very wonderfull capture, and brilliantly warm yet calming tone of red/orange sky.
And on top of it is very thoughfully done cropping....

By the way, even though the lense is a 75-300, it performs as a 120-480mm on my camera. The D60 has a 1.6 focal length multiplier due to its smaller image frame. It's a bugger when it comes to getting true wide angle shots, but it's a blessing for telephoto.

I keep on forgetting about that when it comes to digital cameras - is there anything you can do to offset the change? (in order to achieve a wider shot?). But like you said - the nice blessing is the increase in zoom - 480mm? I'd take that any day

Nope, nothing you can do with digital SLRs to offset that change. Other than buying a wider lense, of course. The larger the sensors get, though, the more this problem will go away. The Canon 1ds doesn't even have this issue and the 1d Mark II only has a multiplier of 1.3 (as opposed to the common 1.6x)
