Description
+ We almost never get to cover receptions in natural light like this. There's no challenge of flash to bother with and you can focus on the couple and have natural light from nearly any angle. I always love shooting into the light and this was a perfect setup for that. The sun was filtered just enough to be subtle but still have a beautiful flare effect.+ Enjoy!

This is soooo stunning! And I love that it's natural lighting. That's all I shoot in and lately I've been getting flack from my teachers saying that it doesn't look as good as studio lighting. WELL. I'ma show them THIS. It's gorgeous and I love the flare at the corner. It's just. Wow.
Do you ever shoot with those big large format cameras or medium format? I was just wondering. I think we're going to use them later on in my photo class. Nerrrrrvous!

Go into the sun! Screw studio lighting!
I don't think I could handle the large format cameras, though. The closest I've been is shooting with my polaroid SX-70. Ya know, it has a large squarish frame and, uh, it's not digital?

That's what I say!! Natural lighting always makes things so much more beautiful!

I personally love the coour tones - it's not something I see usually so maybe that's where me and the previous poster are different
Love the flare and love the image as a whole...but you knew that already

I love the flare and the pose. I'm not really digging this 70's color effect though....I guess because I have too many photos like that in old albums? Personally, if you have the time and inclination, would you post a b/w or enhanced color version? For me to compare if nothing else?
It's a great image and I hope I don't offend...I'm never really sure how to comment when there's something I think could be done differently....

Don't be silly, I love hearing any sort of feedback. I can totally understand the jaded feeling of such editing. Thanks for sharing, as always. And once we get back from vacation, remind me to throw a color version on flickr for you, k?
