+ So here's my problem with uploading wedding photography... I feel like each submission has to be as good as or better than the last. Unlike a wedding album, where each photo works together to tell a story, single images on DevArt work best if they can tell a story on their own. To me, that means the individual photo has to be either really creative or really powerful. If the photo doesn't stand out on it's own, then I feel like I can't submit it. (Obviously this isn't true, but it sure is tough to get past this mental block!)+ Anyways, let me know how you feel about that.
+ Oh, and this is Jessie & Rob . I shot this as they were walking back down the hill and onto the next part of our session.
+ Edit: Pretty obvious, I hope.

I love that she wore red shoes.
This is a pretty narrative photo. Even though you're not obligated to submit only narratives, I feel like that's always been a halmark of your style.
The best wedding video I've ever seen was taken by accident during the reception. The wedding was held outdoors at an old Savannah plantation. The reception was there, too, but splayed between a ballroom and a large outdoor tent. To get to the tent from the ballroom, you had to pass across a long, wide porch and down a few steps.
The porch, as all good southern porches are, was lined with several rocking chairs. Someone had set their video recorder (what do you call those things these days?) down on the porch and had accidentally left it recording. The footage for about 15 minutes was of four sets of feet rocking in chairs and the conversation of the people the feet belonged to - the bride, the groom, the groom's mother, and the bride's sister.
Needless to say, it was a great candid documentation of that day. That's how I see your photos, at least your best ones.

Over the years I've become a huge fan of black and white photography. The colors in this shot are all so bold, but I really like that the red shoes are the only other color in the shot...it makes them pop even more. Something like that is a much different detail than the traditional white shoes that brides usually wear, so I think showcasing it was a great choice. Black, white, and red are such a great combo that this shot really works.

Selective color looks nice! Lots of detail is lost in her dress though

I think that you should be able to submit your work in general. I know what you mean about wanting each one to be better and better, I'm still trying to learn so I feel like if something isn't up to par, it doesn't even need to be in my gallery. But I think with wedding shoots, the whole series is a part of one story, one day, and even if it isn't fabulously, amazingly better than the last, it's still a part of the whole.
I dounno if that makes any sense...but I tried
As far as the image, I LOVE the edit. It's like her getting married is her journey into Oz. A new magical place where much can be learned and many new things face their lifelong journey.

Hm. Sometimes I feel that pressure as well but don't focus on it.
Hm. I like the red shoes but I think I would prefer it if you had colored the whole thing in that fashion. You know those old photos that are oiled over? I love those. And I think this would be interesting like that as well. I don't know how I feel about the blur on his shoe. It kind of distracts me a bit.

I never really thought about the 'oiled over' look, but I like the thought. I usually avoid selective color like the plague, but it seemed acceptable here.
And while I'd normally agree 100% about the blur, I liked it here since it felt so... "in the moment", if you will.

Yeah. I'm not too much a fan of selective color but the old black and whites that people would paint on sometimes were nice. I see a lot of that type in wedding photography. Here I think it's a good idea, but I just wasn't sure about only red shoes. 
It does feel in the moment, that's true. I think it's all about taste and such. I liked the blur on the grass, just not his shoe. Haha, I'm a picky brat!
