Now going back and forth between the two, I noticed how you've improved it--the eyebrows are more groomed, the coloring in this own, especially in the cheeks, is much better, and the lips are smaller and more "cheerful" than the other. Great job. I love seeing how you have progressed and improved in a year.

As vindicator123 said: she looks much nicer in this picture, like person I would love to know better. The old picture is more like "What did I do wrong to make her like that?" She looks angry in the old picture.
Yet I have hard time to pin point what exactly makes the difference. Skin tone alone canΒ΄t explain that. Did you make her lips wider?
There is much more balance between lips and eyes in this picture, the eyes and thus the stare dominated completly the in old picture.

mmmm I just had a look at both and I agree - she looks more... alive in the original version - hmmm...
GOT IT!! (I love it when I figure what *exactly* is the problem with something lol rather than just 'ooh that looks a bit wrong'
I dunno if you can tell but in the first picture her eyebrows push down, just very slightly, so she looks like she's frowning, but in a determined, good way. In the retouch you made everything perfect but you fixed up the eyebrows so they just look natural. Basically in the first picture she has an expression, an emotion in her eyes, where she's almost saying 'I'm GOING to do this (don't ask what 'this' is lol)' whereas in the second one she's just got a vacant stare...
now I have no idea whether or not I just made any sense but if you can compare the two pictures and see what I'm talking about then I am one happy woman
