out of all the things you said, 'ugly' is not really the word I'd use, especially to describe her rear end
As for something bad happening to her, I wouldn't count on the show to go there, but I had few ideas for her in the future

Yes she is. I have role played as her on multiple times. Her background is a blank slate. All we know is she is the Captain how did she get there, and what or who is she really?

Well if you want some inspiration. Read the one short story fan fiction I wrote of her. If your interested I'll post the link. Or I could come up with something. Spitfire is my pony so creating pictures from words is a thing of mine since I can't draw.

This one is good... an I mean... GOOD! Not only is her face very well done, and conveys emotions perfectly, but her hairs looks so fiery... and not because of the texture, or any special effects, but because of how You put a colors on it. Just amazing
And the Captain's America shield in the background is f*cking awesome!

The body is fine, although I would say it would be 20% better if you spent like 20 additional minutes blending.
The hair looks odd, and in my opinion it's because once again your highlights aren't different enough from the shadows. All those fine lines are gonna be for nothing if you don't give them some dark spots to show against.

The point of those pictures is to draw them quickly, but yeah, not my best. And I agree about the mane. I think I'll fix this later.
