Description
Nathaniel Adam could not believe it when he heard the News of Black Adams assault on the country of Bialiya, for so long it's despotic rulers had been a source of frequent frustration for him that had led to him kicking off various international incidents by illegally being in the country, but the people of the country had never been the problem. Whatever the rulers of Bialiya had done to incur Black Adam's wrath, the people were innocent. When he arrived to the country he saw nothing but death and the souls of the recently murdered. The rogue member of the Marvels had to be brought down, hard. Nathaniel tapped deeply into the quantum field as he tracked down the maniac.
When they met, Nathaniel had expected to be assaulted, instead, Black Adam initially spoke to him with measured tones. Only when Nathaniel raised the issue of Black Adam answering for his crimes did it provoke a punch that he only just caught. Kara had once mentioned Black Adam, summing him up as bag of self righteous testosterone with strength that might surpass Supermans. She wasn't wrong about his strength.
Black Adam did not recognise the silver skinned man that now gripped his arm, his voice was American however, and he spouted the same naive babble of right and wrong that the Justice Society had done. This metal man would regret coming to face him alone...
( Kind of a 'What If' scenario from DC's 2007 World War 3 story, which Captain Atom was annoyingly absent from )
( Black Adam is an anti hero/villain, he has displayed considerable nobility but also utter contempt for life, his attitudes being of the more brutal eye for an eye sort from the ancient time period he originates from, like all members of the Marvel/Shazam family his abilities and powers are well within the Kryptonian class, powered by several ancient gods. Of the Marvel family Black Adam is arguably the strongest, most focused, and easily the most violent, having bested characters like Powergirl in combat and murdered several non invulnerable metahumans - such as the Blonde version of Terra, and has proven able to match up to an army of DC's Superheroes. Although to be honest so many were involved they were getting in each others way due to poor tactics and little leadership )
( Captain Atom is a second tier hero who was once very prominent in DC in the late 1980's and 1990's but is now far less well known, his abilities rival or better Supermans depending on his focus and willpower as he channels energy from the 'Quantum field'. Due to the sheer power he wields he spends most of his time holding back in combat, since having gained his powers he has tried to live up to his fellow superheroes example of not resolving things by killing. )

It really could go either way.

Wouldn't it be an interesting dynamic if it turned out that Nathaniel Adam was a distant descendant of Teth-Adam? That would put them in a strange situation of trying to find common ground.

I get the feeling Teth-Adam and Nathaniel Adam might be even more critical of each other if they were related on some level.

Sadly, a typical situation for Cap these days but then there are so many superheroes, so you can't blame Black Adam for not remembering half of them
. But it would mean Black Adam is more likely to underestimate him.
Thanks.

Ouch. They'll better fight in outer space, because they can obliterate any land they fight in.

Good point still the wasteland of a country emptied of life by Black Adam, should be a good sized arena for them, unless Black Adam missed someone, in which case Cap would immediately start holding back to avoid further innocents dying.
Hmm, taking the fight into space would be to Cap's advantage, since i think Black Adam still needs to breath, while Cap found out he didn't need to ages ago.

Actually the Stamina of Shu gives Adam self sustenance. He doesn't need to eat, sleep or breath in his transformed state. Makes sense given he was imprisoned for thousands of years without nourishment.Β
