Captain Marvel spends more time with Stargirl.I rather liked the brief pairing of Captain Marvel and Stargirl, it was just such a sweet idea given how gosh darn pleasant natured the Captain was in either Captain Marvel form or as the much smaller youngster Billy Batson. Fellow youngster Stargirl ( Courtney Whitmore ) could have done a lot worse.
Captain Marvel/Billy Batson is a boy gifted with the powers of several mythic beings that he invokes with the word 'SHAZAM' and is roughly Superman class in might ( Flight, Super Speed, Strength, invulnerability, although all magic derived ) and has been part of the Justice League and the JSA ( Justice Society of America )
Stargirl/Courtney Whitmore is a youngster who with her cosmic belt gains abilities such as bolstered strength and agility and while not featured in this picture she also uses a cosmic staff that allows a certain degree of energy manipulation ( creating force fields, energy blasts, allowing flight, etc ) She became a friend of Power Girls during their time in the JSA, and even joined Power Girls own breakaway group the AllStars.

I can't recall exactly but It more or less started from way back in the 2003 JSA story 'Princes of Darkness' when Stargirl found out Captain Marvel was in fact a teenage boy. It was very much an ongoingΒ background thing in the series until Captain Marvel was more or less told by Jay Garrick/Flash to break it off due to the perceived age difference.Β
After that it never got picked back up, which seemed a pity.

I know that it happen in the pre-52 series cakes the Justice Society of America. But DC decide cancel it due to poor reviews. Plus they think having Captain Marvel dating with a minion is a bad idea.
Clearly they forget that Billy Batson is a pre-teen. So I think we send a request to DC Comics. But the question is how.

Star girl has a step brother who is very pissed off at her and his dad.I have always thought that they could have a great story.A story that her step brother gets so angry.That a metagen inside him becomes active.He goes from a skinny kid to a powerhouse.He gains superseed,can fly he has xray/infered vission.He can fire layzer like blast from his hands.He can make himself invissble.He is highly invunble.He can cause thing to frezze with cold blast from his eyes.Things get really bad during a agoment with his dad.He beats his dad so badly hes in hospital.He and stargirl go at it she beats him but he fights back hard.He manages to hurt hurt her.He leaves hurt badly hurt.He tells her not to look for him.He no longer wants anything to do with the family.Hes"You have taken my dad from me.Ever since you and your mother came around.Dad has shawn that he has more faith in you than me.Well enjoy my family you have gotten everything you wanted.While I have nothing but disrespect from my own so called dad!"

Great pic.Β I always loved Stargirl, she was based on the her creator's sister, who died young I believe.Β The my favorite thing about Stargirl's relationship with Captain Marvel was everyone else in the JSA thought Marvel was a full grown man, not the kid Billy Batson is.Β I remember they did a Thanksgiving themed issue of the JSA were the JLA came to share a meal, and Stargirl was upset she got stuck at the kid table with Jamel Thunder and Impulse while Captain Marvel at with the adults.Β Seriously Batman, way to not bring Robin with you. I hear you, I liked the idea of Thanksgiving cross over, sort of was the DC version of the X men playing softball.Β I was a DC fan more than a Marvel guy growing up, but lately I find myself reading more Marvel and Indy stuff.Β I can't tell you that last DC comic I bought.Β

Maybe this is just the Brave and the Bold fan in me talking, but I liked the idea of her and Blue Beetle as, not an item, but definitely partners.

I think it's because the Stargirl segment on BtBatB was the wrap-up of Jaime's arc on that show; in the first season, a subplot was Bruce mentoring Blue Beetle to live up to his predecessors. So this was a natural conclusion.

It was kind of sweet, back in the early 2000's in the JSA comic, Stargirl found out her team mate Captain Marvel was in fact a boy no older than her, and they started spending more time together. Captain Marvel had to break away from her and the JSA due to concerns expressed by Flash/Jay Garrick about the apparent age difference.
I rather liked them as a couple, and it is a pity it wasn't touched on much in the years since.

That's a shame but I could see people getting the wrong idea -both in and out of story- if they saw them being flirty "in costume" and didn't know Captain's secret identity.
