Description
A bit of Marvel Fanart of three of my favourite Marvel comics characters, i've tinkered a little with their costumes, but not much.Thanos of Titan, The Acolyte of Death. An extreme pragmatist who after the Infinity Gauntlet event evolved beyond a nihilist into a layered character far beyond the 'villain' tag that is placed on him given he has spent more time defending the universe and his reality than being a threat to it. The shifting between creator Jim Starlins take on the character, and Marvels need to use him as a more typical villain has almost resulted in two continuities for the character. Incredibly powerful physically and able to wield vast energies, in spite of this he is far more inclined to count on his intellect and planning. Formerly the guardian of the Reality Gem
Adam Warlock is arguably the Champion of life. Originally he believed himself to have been created by a collection of scientists, The Enclave, he later discovered he was in fact a far older being, one who has repeatedly died and resurrected anew for centuries ( either male or female, although his subconscious prefers adopting the male form, leading to the destructive Goddess aspect of himself ).
He is the implacable opponent of Thanos and ironically, the only being Thanos would consider to being a friend and true ally. His abilities and upper limits have never trully been tested, but in every incarnation he has been roughly in Thors physical class, and also is able to use his own energies in a variety of ways. Formerly the guardian of the Soul Gem. Sadly most writers seem to have little idea how to handle him.
Gamora, Adopted Daughter of Thanos. The last survivor of her homeworld, the young child was found by Thanos who seemingly saw the potential to shape the lost child into a weapon against Adam Warlock, who would in one timeline oppose Thanos as the tyrannical Magus. While far from having a typical childhood, Gamora did and still does evoke paternal feelings in Thanos ( not that this stopped him from trying to kill her when she was of no further use when he first sought out the Infinity Gems in his purely nihilistic period ).
Gamora has been Adam Warlocks would be assassin, trusted companion, and eventually lover ( then editorial/other writers spilt them up with minimal reasoning, but i've always felt Marvel has rarely tried to be cohesive with it's continuity ). Formerly the guardian of the Time Gem.
All characters are owned by Marvel Comics

Nice work! Β
Thanos is indeed a layered character. What I loved about him in 'Infinity Gauntlet' was that he was
driven by love! The ending of IG also showcased the awesomeness of this character.
Too bad Marvel will reduce him to a typical villain in the movies, so a whole new generation will see him
as just another stupid villain. Β

Thanks
It looks like they are using the early Thanos before the Infinity Gauntlet at the moment, which is fair enough if they are going to do a movie of the Infinity Gauntlet story ( and hopefully have Thanos develop along the same route as his comic book version, and finally have Adam Warlock show up )

I hope they'll show his affection towards Death. He did gather the Infinity Gems for her, to win her love.
But what I fear is that they will present Thanos like a typical villain, eager
to conquer/destroy the universe just for the sake of it. Β

Starlin's world is an intricate space operaβ¦ Other writers are probably pushing them into other directions with mixed successβ¦
