The outskirts beyond the main walls of the vast city of Caliba are much quieter than the centre, but it's troubles come in different forms, from both the wastelands that hide a variety of hostiles to the things seeking to avoid the main bulk of the Templars within the city.Unable to spare many Templars to maintain order, instead the outskirts is maintained loosely by some of the older Templars, some have been exiled there, others have volunteered, nearly all are very formidable.
Martial-Templar Franks was a mid rank Templar who due to his firmly individualistic nature, chaffed within the tiresome politics of the city that seemed intent on preventing him from doing his job. Finally he volunteered for the outskirts, and never looked back. Grizzled, tough, and very good at what he does, he is not a man to underestimate.
My world of Caliba is a mishmash of styles and things with magic and strange technology sitting together, so i have no problem with fitting a mildly cowboy like character into it
