Description
A picture in response to ideas from of a more ancient/mythic Greek styled Wonderwoman.I tried to give her armour more akin to that of the greek Hoplites, while still incorporating her iconic looking colours and tried to make her look very clearly a warrior.
Wonderwoman is owned by DC comics.

Lovely artwork, reminds me of the alternate Injustice Regime Wonder Woman a little.

Thanks .They do both look a bit more martial than regular Wonderwoman.

Yeah, it was certainly one of my favourite redesigns in Injustice, given that most in that game don't feel different enough (though Yellow Lantern is an awesome concept, as is the more heroic Insurgency Harley Quinn).

The more heroic Harley was cool.

She was! I like that Injustice and Arkham City both explored how Harley might be if she was bereft of Joker - a more negative take in AC and a more positive one in Injustice.

Actually, despite your misgivings about hairstyles, I really like it Sure, I'd give every woman who goes into close-quarters melee combat a pageboy or a No. 1 in a second, but it's not all about the extreme realism or practicality (or my Brienne of Tarth fetish
).

I've gone through the entire history of Themyscira, and the big battle scene I mentioned... it'll have a lot of Amazon namedropping. I've opted to keep most of the characters doing the jobs they did before (so Leonidas, a blacksmith who fights is not a REAL soldier, eh?) though I've chosen to modify a couple of quite minor, very early 1940's characters into people that fit the world I'm crafting a little better... I mean, I can't bring myself to have a "two-ton grease heap" called Fatsis there (direct quote from 1st issue of WW back in 1942 no less... I guess William Moulton Marston didn't like big girls). I can though have a seven-foot almighty asskicker of an amazon in Wondie's little band of defenders and feel like I'm doing some good
In fact, that scene is going to maybe create some war-movie-homage-tastic friends for Diana should her adventures take her back for action on her home soil... I'm suddenly thinking "Dirty Dozen - Amazon-style"
