I really get a kick out of that one woman's expression in the BG. LOL!

Not quite the same effect Superman has... at least not on the men. Speaking of...well, nothing I was just talking about.... do you know when the Spectrum judging will be taking place? I'm pulling my hair out in anticipation over here, and I don't have enough hair to spare over here.

It's in 2 weeks. I was supposed to be a judge, until I found out that it coincided with MegaCon, which I was already committed to do.

Thank you so much for the quick reply. Sorry to hear that you won't be judging, I was pretty excited at the thought of it. Either way, you, James Jean and Ashley Wood will forever remain the final bosses of the Spectrum competition. Also, few things in this world humble me like your Catwoman covers. Good luck on the convention circuit

That is some silly work there! Sketch Paper? Like News Print?

AdamHughes In reply to EJMorges [2009-02-16 03:46:29 +0000 UTC]

No, Strathmore Sketch Paper. Heavier and whiter than newsprint; not as thick as 2-ply Bristol.

Looking at your power girl pictures - and your recent image in playboy... do i sense a little bit of similarities between the two?

I really need to start reading power girl, just to see if I'd actually enjoy it...

btw, love the new img!

Seems to work better without the color. At least compared to the one so far submitted.

hi!, hmm, i really need to ask you this!!!, how do you go from that to the full color one? i mean, how do you apply color?, im having a really hard time with color!!!!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DuffPappy In reply to Pardilate [2009-02-16 02:57:56 +0000 UTC]

Probably two possibilities for that. He might have do some color adjustments by lassoing certain sections and then messes with the hues and stuff or he colors over with another layer using the color overlay settings in the layers palette. Those are my guesses. I could be wrong and I probably am.

Well, man. I know that I'm too old to learn much more and I also know that I'm not going to be like you just studying at the same place you did it, but I would like to know where you studied to become the super-cool (and famous) artist you're.
By the way, the picture is awesome as always. I'm a big fan of your work.
Keep Rockin'!

AdamHughes In reply to chamakoso [2009-02-16 03:28:46 +0000 UTC]

I am self-taught; I couldn't afford schooling. And one is never too old to learn more. Scientists did a study (I assume it was scientists; they had white coats) that people who continue to evercise their brain by learning new things were able to forestall the symptoms of ageing, moreso than people who stopped filling their brain with new stuff.

I will keep rockin' if you keep learnin'! Deal?

-AH!-

Pardilate In reply to AdamHughes [2009-02-16 03:35:58 +0000 UTC]

also people that have been diagnosed with alsheimer dicease can increase their chances of not developing it if they keep learning new stuff...

you should teach though...

AdamHughes In reply to Pardilate [2009-02-16 04:21:11 +0000 UTC]

Wow, I did not know that! That's pretty cool...

No, I'd make a crummy teacher. My family already had one teacher in it; that's enough for us...

Yeah gotta coment on the 911 look too but it helps to hear that the origin of the smoke isn't the buildings. Oh and another comment on the texture in the jeans, very nice.

Actually, I wasn't able to scan this, it's too big. This is actually a 12.5 megapixel photo. I have a Nikon D300.

Love love love

But without the PG logo top center, the burning towers give it a Sept 11 feel.

AdamHughes In reply to Arcalian [2009-02-16 01:27:25 +0000 UTC]

The towers aren't burning, that's the smoke coming from the off-panel fire they are all looking at.
