Client: Wildstorm EntertainmentMedia: Pencil, Ink, and Adobe Photoshop
A cover for Alan Moore's VOODOO miniseries back in the 90s. I did 3 covers for this 4-issue miniseries, and WS asked me to do it in an Art Nouveau style because it matched the approach that interior artist Michael Lopez had come up with.

Lovin the Art Nouveau piece its very Alphonse Mucha and the type matches the style overall which is pretty difficult sometimes. The neutral palette sells it for me great choice of colour especially the flower because it draws you into the head as a focal point. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey I remember buying this. Mostly for the cover art. It is always a sad feeling when the art is different inside the comic book.

A wonderful Mucha-inspired work. You have all the elements that make him (and yourself) a great artist in this picture, but you can also see hints of your own style, mainly the wonderful colorscheme you do so well!! love it!

That's a great cover, but I wonder if it would have actually been published. To me, it looks like there's a little too much butt and side-boob for the tastes of most publishers. Or would they slap a "for mature readers" label on it?

I have this particular series and I always loved the covers...fancy that ten-fifteen years later I'd watch the coverartist on an online community...I don't even think I knew what the internet was when I bought this comic...

Hmm, I wonder if I've seen this for sale via Mysterious Galaxy's booth at science fiction/fantasy conventions when I was younger -- it strikes to me awfully familiar... and not just because it's Mucha-style. (I kinda wished I analyzed this for my Art Nouveau essay I wrote last month.)
