Description
This is an Animal Farm cover I did for Jon Foster's cover illustration class at RISD. This is probably as raw, intense, and creepy my work can get; while it's really not so bad, it doesn't exactly fit with my usual style. I thought this piece was a good step for me in terms of symbolic color, scale of elements, and expression.Related content

its great, I love the way you used red symbolically for communism!
It actually even reminds me of a propaganda poster for Lennin

This is an amazing illustration.
You captured the essence of the book.
I love the rage and monstrosity you portrayed the pig with!

Wow, I just love how intense this image is. I don't think there's much I can say that hasn't already been said, but I love how this piece turned out, and it makes me want to read the novel again.

ugh... my teacher ruined that book for us. I liked the storyline and the moral and its historical connection, she just ruined it. But I really like this piece. It sums up the story well.

Very good cover for that book, Definetly shows the dictatorship of the pigs in the story.

I'm Speechless!
Not only have you beautifully captured the mood and imagery of the book, but in a way you've also captured the very real and fearsome power of the Soviet Totalitarianism its based on.
A true masterpiece and definitely the best Animal Farm image I've seen to date!

WOW. This is....just, wow! In the book we were meant to read in class, there were caricatures, and they were just so...grotesque. I like this because it's still frightening, but not nearly so disturbingly strange.

It's pretty raw, intense and creepy - I don't think I'd like you to go much further with that!
Very evocative.

It's definitely a change of pace from what I've seen in your gallery. I like the stark contrast of elements; I think it really does give a nice idea of the overall theme of the book.
