Description
I'm a part of a brand new illustration blog, Planet Pulp, which gives monthly "missions" or themes to its rogues gallery of artists to submit illustrations for. A fantastic idea! Planet Pulp's first mission: Costume Redesign. And who needs a redesign more than ol' Mysterio? As classic as his costume is, it's a tad bit dated. This is my take on a modernized Mysterio. It just must be his MCU suit. I mean him having a cape in the movie would be kinda lame (he doest need it at all). This one looks great

He drops the the stage magician theme in favor of a David Blaine esque street magician theme, Cool! I love it.

omg mysterio was my favorite villain by concept and personality but his costume is so lame, i need him to get a redesign just like this! it's so much more apt of his character!

It is good but He doesn't look like a sorcerer anymore, which was his original intention.

Looks like a Marvel-ized male version of a quarian (specifically Tali'Zorah vas Normandy-- the second, purple iteration of her envirosuit). Was that an inspiration for this design (the style of the helmet is almost identical, except there's no 'mouth light')?
Don't get me wrong, the design is EXCELLENT, and I love it, I'm just curious if that was the inspiration.

I like this. He kinda reminds me of Amon, the main antagonist from The Legend of Korra: Book One - Air. And that girl from Mass Effect, Tali'Zorah.
