An illustration I did for Stardrift Empires, an mmo on Facebook. I've been working on this project for the past few months at Blue Frog Gaming, which has been awesomely fun and challenging.

This is the warp gate, which allows your ships to travel between 2 gates simultaneously. but it can only be built on a moon, and moons in this game are very hard to come by. it was interesting to come up with the design for this thing, b/c i didn't want to do a typical ring that is associated w/ this type of thing. so i just broke it up into 4 crescents in a circular shape. little bit of matte painting done for the far background mountains. pretty fun painting.
