Description
Taken in a wildlife park in Perth, Western Australia. The Devil as his name suggests lives in Tasmania, however, I do believe it once lived on the mainland Australia.
They are the world's largest surviving carnivorous marsupial and I wouldn't want to come up against one of these fella's in the wild. I'm told they are mean tempered. They sound and look incredibly fierce.

I don't think I would like to meet one in the wild. They seem very ferocious.

Fascinating animal, for sure. I wonder if anyone has ever been brave/stupid enough to try to domesticate one?

I seen a discovery show on these little guys and that some of them are dieing of this cancer that is transmitted by bites which they do a lot with each other. I feel so bad seeing them with massive tumors on there mouths and eyes.
This guy looks very healthy

You wouldn't think so if you had seen him pacing and the awful noise he was making

It was with great difficulty that I got this shot as he was pacing most of the time.
