Thank you very much. It was pure luck that my trigger finger moved fast enough after my eye registered the fact that he was taking off. I try for lots of these shots, but mostly I miss the action.

I understand. I have one just as a whip is still in contact with the rose stem someone is holding in their mouth. It is not easy to capture these types of shots. A lot of luck is definitely involved in it.

Thank you so much. Of all the birds in my garden, these are in the largest numbers, so I have plenty of opportunities to photograph them. We entice them, and others, to come close to the house with water and native plants and I photograph them through the windows.

Erica is a shrub that I have in my garden. It has pink tubular flowers and the honeyeaters love it.

Thank you very much. The New Holland Honey Eater is a prolific breeder, so out of all the many species that visit our garden, this is the one we see the most of. They are very bossy birds too and frighten off the more timid birds.
