Here's the B&W line art for a (peaceful!) Hulk card I drew and inked for Upper Deck last year... I'll prolly post the rough over in my "scraps" section at some point.Pay close attention to those fir trees in the background... When I post the full-color version later on today, you'll see what a masterful (and above-and-beyond-the-call-of-duty) job that Guru eFX did with those trees! They painted over the mere silhouettes, transforming them into authentic-looking conifers, as you'll see.
Not quite sure if this piece really counts as "fan art," given that I was paid to do this for Upper Deck and, by extension, Marvel... But I've noticed that DA has moved a bunch of my paid jobs into the "fan works" category, so WTF.

when i saw this card i had to laugh because I had a similar idea for a card, but as a plot twist rather than a character card..... I actually envisioned him sitting on a log with a bird going to his hand and having the forrest to the viewer's left and the mountain clearing and a lil stream to the right.....never got around to it, but this is still a great piece=] I wish I had the money to make a deck that makes full use of him, because of course, "hulk get angry, hulk get stronger!"

Yeah, AW, they just do it that way here. Practically everything I've posted is professional work, but they're all categorized as "fan art." I suppose it's a legal precaution. No biggie.

..the thought of how they have handled your deviations is, Fan art is considered as works of art pertaining to characters that are not copyrighted by the artist. Thus covering the people running dA's ass.
