Behold: A wheezingly ancient (well, circa 2002) sketch I did for DA’s own . Despite the age of the piece (and the fact that I’m no longer fond of my 2002-era facial stylings), I thought it might be apropos after seeing the preview for the BARONESS movie... Er, I mean the GI JOE movie, whateva. (Srsly, said preview seemed to feature the Baroness in every other shot.) Not that I give a crap about the GI JOE franchise overall, BTW... though I do appreciate the fine RESOLUTE designs that 's been posting.Scanned from a high-contrast photocopy, which doesn’t aid the repro quality very much... Oh, well.

You're going to hate me, but I like your older style drawings 5 to 8 years ago or so. But you've got to grow as an artist, so I won't begrudge the change.

Outstanding work, Adam! Everyone seems to be quite keen on GIJoe, what with the movie all up ons. Speaking of the GIJoe movie, I have a little story that you might find amusing.
I managed to get out to the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo(CCEE) two weeks ago, and did attend a panel given by Ray Park. Mr Park, as you may know, will be portraying Snake Eyes in the film. During the panel he talked about the time he spent training with guns. Specifically, he said that in order to get into it, he would make the 'shooting noises' as he was mock-firing the guns.
So now when I actually see this movie, any time Snake Eyes is shooting a gun, all I'll be able to think about is Ray Park going "PEW PEW PEW!!!"

Skimming the gallery reminded me that yes, I still have a batch of Di... err, Lovely Angels issues cached away someplace.
By the way, it's also more proof that the original animated series' Steeler is a lucky blighter twice over...

Your skills with a pencil have improved a lot since then (not that this piece isn't fantastic as well). It's interesting to see how different yet the same your art is through this picture.
