I imagine the OPM/SM fight having more punching. By which I mean there would be precisely one punch, and then it would be over. Less overt goriness, more dull practicality. But he probably also disliked Man of Steel, because OPM has taste.

Funny thing is that when MoS first came out, I heard a couple folks saying that it would have been a decent Invincible movie.

Mmmmaybe? I dunno. The weird thing is that, while violent, even Invincible tends to be more about the value and power of hope than MoS turned out to be. And it's a comic that slowly built up to that kind of devastation - it didn't throw that gauntlet down in the first couple arcs, it waited until it had earned an epic, city-wrecking spectacle. And then it dealt with the aftermath. It's why I love that series SO MUCH.
