The three leads of the comic Preacher: Tulip O'Hare, Jesse Custer, and Cassidy the Irish Vampire.This is easily my #2 comic of all time. To me, there's Sandman and there's Preacher. Everything else falls in line behind them. It's poignant, it's beautiful, it's meaningful, and it's also hillarious, violent, thought-provoking, and disturbing on many, many levels.
It's an Irish atheist's love-letter to the American West and the great Westerns, and it's as good as comics get. Buy it, people. Seriously.

It reads better in trade form, just going from book to book. Granted, it slows down a touch around vol. 7 (Dixie Fried, I believe, and the trade just after that), but picks up a ton in the finale.
And I'm glad you like the rendition. Honestly, I've tried doing these three many a time, but this is the first time I've really nailed the characterizations to my own satisfaction. Cassidy isn't too tough (just cross Iggy Pop with Sting), and once I figured out that Katie 'Starbuck' Sackhoff is the PERFECT Tulip, I just had to get a Jesse I could be happy with. To my surprise...it all worked!

Go right now. I mean, get out'cher chair and RUN to the nearest video store and start watching Battlestar Galactica. There is no other show on television like it, and as it heads into its fourth and final season, it's set to be the TV revolution that nobody's noticed.

And it just stays great, doesn't it? Hard to believe it's been ten years since it came out - it's easily the better of most of what's out today. Shame for the stuff of 'now', but great for Preacher.

I may be mental but what sticks out to me is Cassidys hair, Tulips gun, the bottle and the groovy shading on the pants (all of the characters)

Thanks! I figured out a 'hair method' fairly early in my digital coloring days, and I'm glad it still works. As for the jeans-- texture overlays are a blessing. Took some decent color toning and pumped up the 'denim' by a factor of awesome.
