One of the things we were excited to do with the Extended Directors' Cut was to add more scenes with the Teen Force 3. They'll be more important characters in the future for the story, so we wanted more time with them early on. This scene introduces the Force Flyer, the team jet. While designing it, I was primarily thinking about those ugly, obnoxious stretch Hummer limos that got big in the '90s. They were just trying so hard to look cool and rich and elite, but instead always striking me as idiotic displays of insecurity. So the Force Flyer is like if a Hummer limo was a jet that some committee designed primarily so it would make a cool toy for little boys. Which is a lot like the TF3 themselves...
