As much as this comic can sometimes go to dark, difficult places (and it will), we never want to go so far that nobody can ever smile or enjoy themselves. Life is not a bleak hellscape of sadness and miserable darkness from which no light can escape. Expect The Uniques to be a much more balanced, honest take on the lives of these people.

I read the first issue last night and I have to say that I am very impressed with not just that issue, but the the mythology you have created as a whole. One of the things that I get tired of how most super heroes never age. It is great that we are getting new stories with Superman and Batman, but in many ways I want to see them progress. Mostly they just stagnate.

Well, get ready - we cover a wide range of ages for these characters. We love having the mixing of the elder statesmen, the mature heroes in their prime, the younger adults, and then the teens. Plus, these characters will keep aging as the series goes. The world-building starts strong, but it's never going to really stop.
