No one really focuses on the doctor and river. even in the show most the time (deff not always heh) I feel like they dont focus on giving the characters a true love for each other. It just feels like a relationship where they are good friends and dont know if they should date or not, so they just kinda flirt lol.
ANYWAY, very beautiful piece! Its like river is protecting him so he can rest from saving the universe for a bit.

I had the pencil lineart down first, then I painted the watercolors over it. The detailed pencilwork and shading over the watercolor was the last step.
