Description
Okay, this mess of lines and gibberish is actually a new WIP. With the con only half a week away, I don't really have much time on my hands, so I haven't even gotten to correct it, clean it, ink it, or anything of the sort.Still, I wanted to prove I'm alive, so here's a sketch. Plus, it shows more of exactly how my color pieces get to where they are. They always start like this.
Since you probably cannot tell, it's actually fanart. Of Xenogears to be exact. My friend got me playing the game again in my free time, and it has been helping me keep my sanity as I run into one problem after another. Anyways, as it is one of the greatest RPG's I've ever had the pleasure of playing, I figured it was about time I do a little tribute.

Edit_1: Looks a lot cleaner now doesn't it? I found some time to ink it, so it's ready for coloring now. I can't say whether I'll be able to finish it before I head out for the weekend, but at least it's not as messy now.
Edit_2: Began adding the base colors.
**SPOILERS, SPOILERS, and more SPOILERS**
If you've not finished Xenogears, for the love of the Wave Existence, stop reading here!
Since this is my little tribute to Xenogears, I thought I'd go ahead and do it of what I found to be one of the most shocking moments in RPG history. There are plenty of harsh RPG deaths out there, but rarely is there a moment where the one person you're out to save, becomes the one person you need to be saved from.
You know the scene. Miang is defeated, only to awaken in a new host. Elly. It's the real beginning of the end, and you're left wondering how you're supposed to fight an ally, much less a man-made god.
It's then that you remember the most important thing of all:
That you are...
Men...
Of the Sea!
I love that game. XD

oo this looks like an amazing scene, I'm sure it's a pivotal moment ..
ya I read the spoiler, but that's ok, I'm not likely to ever get time to explore Xenogears anytime soon, but this piece of yours did prompt me to look it up:}

Aww, but if you've not played the game, then the "men of the sea" punch-line hits nothing but air!
I actually have this cutscene on my computer. I changed a lot of things, but I still used it as a reference for the background, and Elly's clothes.
Oh, and I must say this: Get it! It's so good. It's the kind of game that truly has a bit of everything, and one of the most convoluted plot-lines ever created.

It's around a 60-70 hour game. So it's best to play gradually, haha.
The story is ridiculous. It's the sort of tale you can play through three or four times, still finding something new.
