Description
I kind of wish I didn't have to pick between traditional and digital for this (aren't things like Anatomy and Perspective kind of useful in both?) but I went with Traditional since that's what I do.Pose is in the gallery here:
You can find more perspective and foreshortening poses in my gallery in this folder !
Pardon spelling mistakes and general rambling. I promised *shuu-bunni I'd make one of these.
DON'T FEAR THE FORESHORTENING! ATTACK IT WITH VIGOR!

God this is helpful. I hope I have the time to really look at it and work with it soon. Btw your poses have been a huge boost for me in helping with anatomy - which i'm still struggling with of course but there's been improvement and it's largely because I abuse your site.

Oooh... this is soooo super helpful. I'm always looking at cool foreshortened poses and think it'd be great to draw and then once I start everything goes wrong and the picture usually ends up in the bin but you've given some great tips here on how to approach the poses so I may just have to give it a shot for some of them again.
Thanks so much for the tutorial ^_^

Since I often have trouble with this, what I do is print off the reference/stock picture and then trace the outlines. I use the trace for reference instead of looking at the picture - that way I can see just the outlines without having to keep reminding myself to ignore what I think it is.
