Description
I kind of wish I didn't have to pick between traditional and digital for this (aren't things like Anatomy and Perspective kind of useful in both?) but I went with Traditional since that's what I do.Pose is in the gallery here:
You can find more perspective and foreshortening poses in my gallery in this folder !
Pardon spelling mistakes and general rambling. I promised *shuu-bunni I'd make one of these.
DON'T FEAR THE FORESHORTENING! ATTACK IT WITH VIGOR!

This is VERY useful. 8D I like how you showed the horizontal, vertical, and size relationships. I think this is great method to keep in mind!

Finally. xD I've been looking for a tutorial for people-perspective for months. Thank you much!
I've gotten to the point that I don't think I can really improve my art any more until I master this beast.... which I've been avoiding for years.

wooo! You can do it!!! After you learn to work from references then you can do the really hard part: trying to draw perspective without references

That's where my issue began, haha. I couldn't find any good pictures in perspective to reference, and no one around me had the time to model for me... so I tried without references first. As you can imagine, it did not work, haha. Your gallery will definitely help me out, so I must thank you again

Or super short. It's the bizarre anatomy that will occasionally wreak havoc with foreshortening.

I've had this sort of problem for awhile, I'm a novice artist, and I'm horrible at drawing humans at the moment, so this tutorial was quite helpful, I must try it out a bit later, thanks so much for this (:

hmm, i've always looked at things like that, never really thought about it. i guess now i understand why most people have such a hard time replicating an image.
in 1st grade or so, they made us do the grid thing, but i hated it, cuz i wanted to compare the entire image, not just tiny sections at a time. i had a harder time with the grid than without. this prolly all has to do with the fact that i have no natural depth perception, so i guess things are just flat for me in general, no closing of one eye necessary.
