I know. I got very interested in this design recently (and the variants that others have come up with), and started fooling around with applying the design to other eras of Trek. Some, others have already done, and some not. This is, of course, leading up to one of my comparison charts. (haven't done one in some time).

I would love to see a fleet of variants on this design, Enterprise dropped the ball when using the ships like they did. There should have been more episodes in the beginning with them meeting up with other Starfleet ships, they weren't that far from Earth yet.

Enterprise dropped the ball on a lot of things. Still enjoyed the series, but not in my top 10 list of favorite sci fi shows.

There were story lines they should have stayed away from, like bringing in Next Generation enemies and aliens, not to mention the constant use of rewriting the lore to suit their needs. Oh and don't get me going on explaining the Klingons for ToS.

You have to admit, their mirror universe was a very good idea (and probably the best episode they did).

Oh totally, they not only wrapped up a story line from the original series but they also tied into the lore of canon of how the mirror universe fell.
