The preview text will be there forever until the developer releases the first final release. To see whether your copy of PaintTool SAI 2 has been unlocked or not is to either try to open any supported file or save an image/canvas to disk.
Here is some information I got from the official website as you can see for yourself:
Canvas
- Maximum canvas size up to 100000x100000px(64bit version) or 10000x10000px(32bit version).
- Supported file format:
Load and save: SAI2(The private format of Ver.2) / PSD / PSB / BMP / JPEG / PNG / TGA
Load only: SAI(Ver.1 format)
*) Load and save features are locked by software user license.

Yesterday I took a look at the latest ( 29-01-2019 ) preview of PaintTool SAI 2. Didn't really take long to make a 'fix' for.
Everything has been done for you... all that is left is to run PaintTool SAI 2 and just enjoy it. For those that might be skeptical, which I understand, run the files through VirusTotal first and for those super paranoid, run PaintTool SAI 2 through SandBoxie first.
I assume this message won't be here for long so get is as quick as you can. This is a throwaway account anyway.

When I downloaded mine, it came in a zip file. I manually put it in a file I made and named PaintToolSai in the programs folder and put my download certificate in the that same file. Did I do it right? How do you know it it is activated? I alter found that there was a systemax thing in my docs? Plz help <333

imma probably make a fool out of myself but i am not understanding at all. i already have paint tool sai version 1.2.5 (so what it says when i look at the version) and i cannot for the life of me get version two. ive had sai since 2016. if im just misreading i apologize. ive tried entering my version 1 info and its not really doing anything. if you can help at all id appreciate it. sorry for any trouble!

You will first need to download the most recent copy of the program. You will need to use the same password and code that came in the email as before, however, you will need to use the system ID (Under the help option) from the new copy of the program.

I just got both Sai version 1 and Sai 2, both seem to be having issues with my tablet. Such as not being able to reach the canvas enough and a large gap between the pen and the tool. I was wondering if this was a tablet problem or if i had an issue with the programme while downloading it? I have tried reinstalling my tablet but nothing seems to work

There is a drop-down box up the top with stabilizers. They may have been set too high. Because SAI2 is still in development, many people struggle to get drivers to sync correctly with the program.
I would also advise checking the SAI2 config folder, as there is a known bug with the WACOM WinTab driver that may cause this issue. There is an option near the bottom of the page to avoid the bugs of a aforementioned driver which may come in handy to check.

Two days ago, I bought the Sai ver.1 paintings license, but I would like to have version 2. So I tried to redownload the license but when I validated, they put me: " error : download is denied because this license is locked" would you know what I should do? ( excuse me if my English is bad, I’m French)

You have to use the sai 2 tab, that says System ID using that code , from SAI 2: to get the sai 2 key, using the sai 1 license. i think this is what you forgot. try again. if not perhaps use discord screen share to show me if u really need that much help; i will try. Also make sure, you move the downloaded key file, to sai 2 folder.

Dumb question. My Wacom tablet won't zoom in or out on the tablet, is there any way to get it to work????

zoom in and out ? any specific kind of zooming ? Sai dont have smooth zooming :
Hold CTRL and Space bar, then tap with pen . I think thats the default .
also if that dont work, maybe check sai2 settings. Help > Options > Pen tablet settings. try all the settings there.

hopefully this is a easy fix. but dont give up. first, get a program called Everything . www.voidtools.com/
once installed, search for wintab32 . [ view ] the list by " details ". you'll see
system32 and SysWOW64. Delete both those items. then go to wacoms site and download a couple of drivers you think would apply to your model tablet

after you download. Uninstall the drivers you currently have. Then install the drivers you downloaded. then restart. once thats all done. open sai 2, and try. if that dont work, look in sai 2 settings, at the tablet settings, change the settings each time you have to restart sai 2.

CTL-4100 is the model of it. It's a wacom intuos

the link i gave above, are the drivers used for that model. it is a pretty old model.
but just to remind you. the way you zoom in sai, i thin is hold ctrl and space bar, and tap.
or hold both those keys and shift to make it zoom out after you tap with the pen.
if you have drivers installed, use revo uninstaller free to open the driver menu. and press hunter mode in revo uninstaller, and place the target over the tablet driver menu. and let go, and it will show options to uninstall. i will make a video if this sounds too complicated.

so sorry if this is a dumb question. Low-key didnt read through the extended version. But i purchased Sai 1 a super long time ago. Like on a different computer long ago. And i was wondering, in order to get Sai 2. Do i have to repurchase Sai 1 entirely ? or is it just a matter of getting my old info from the purchase, and entering it in etc. Because i was about to just straight up purchase Both sai 1 and 2 again and work from there and i dont have that kinda money.... i say that knowing damn well id spend the money to do that lmao >3>
Currently i have Sai 2 downloaded on my computer but it says its a limited version because there isnt a license for it? which i have no idea what that means or how to get that info considering i didnt purchase Sai 2. At least to my recollection.

All you are doing is purchasing a license. what you do with that license is up to you ; whether you download v1 with it, or v 2, or both 1 and 2.
As far as Old licenses, i have to say im ignorant about how that might work, or if that even works .
You need these two codes mainly which are emailed out, to a person that buys/orders a license :
1. Softoware License Number
2. Certificate Download Password
And obviously the ID code from the Sai software itself.
All three are entered on the form. If you don't have the numbers to fill out that download activation form, then I don't know what to do ?
Follow my instructions above, IF you did buy it a long time ago, and have the Email saved still, and it has the two codes i talked about that you need ,
try taking that info and put it on the license form i gave a link to in my tutorial .
IF however you can't find your old license numbers, then you'll have to pay for a new license ( I show how to do that in the tutorial )
then for sure you can use that to get both Sai v1 and Sai 2.
But first if you have your OLD purchase info, if you actually remember buying it, then look for that in your old emails and see if its there.
If not then you'll have to order a license email again, and follow the steps outlined in my tutorial to get the official working versions .
