Description
Originally titled "Movement" because of the sweaping bands, I renamed this after Cosmy, aka the Cosmic Mermaid [link] poked me to post it.What do you do when you're in the middle of a 50 hour render? You open Fractal Explorer and make another fractal and wait 50 hours for the other render to finish before you can render this one. Hey, I can only look at a timer for so long.

Thanks. I've had a few comments of it resembling different things that are all arabian in origin, but that's the first dunes comment. Works perfectly none the less.

I like looking at your art. Its so different from most other peoples that I watch. I like your art for its content and I like it because It makes me think. Im not sure if art is suppose to make you think, or even if the brain/mind/intellect should get involved at all. I've said all along that that there is some kind of unacknowledged spiritual element to "this thing you do". Its kind of multi dimensional. I really think that you're enhancing more that just a bunch of "pretties".... No, Im not drunk

I understand that perfectly. I've even had a very small amount of people tell me that, key emphasis on very small amount. I view myself as a spiritual being, so I suppose it's only natural that it would come out in my work. To add to that, my opinion is that if it makes you think in the manner that you look deeper into yourself, the art, or the world, then it's all good. Actually, that's an honor. I think art should make people stop because it invokes something deep and stirs emotions inside them. If I can make something that has touched someone, or is still on their mind after they've moved on, then I know I've accomplished something special. Hehe, hope I didn't get too far out there for you.

Thank you. I've been wanting to print this for a while, but until I downloaded the newer version of Fractal Explorer, I wasn't able to. Glad you like it and thank you for the

There is actually noticable depth to this one, it feels 3d. Nice work!

Thanks, man. There are so many takes on fractals, but if I could make ones that look 3d, I feel good at the end of the day.

Wow. I could get lost in this forever. Or at least for more than a few seconds hehe...I love how there is so much going on here...with the circles and the circles...and the circles being split so smoothly with color...

Thanks. I truly think UF is the best fractal program available, but I still gotta give chops to Fractal Explorer. I still find interesting fractals when digging around in it. I'm excited right now because the new version allows a lot more options, like larger renders, so I was finally able to render this for print.

i see...i noticed later that this one was a bit older...i've never tried this Fractal Explorer...and I agree about UF.

It would be nice if images wouldn't pop up when you make a change, but I guess with all the great things they offer here, we could probably live without little things like that.

Yeah, gotta be careful of those translations. Some of our common words are really X-rated in Australia. I think I remember those sweaters, but then again, the fashion of the 70's is kinda hard to forget.

Yeah, I know; Americans misusing words is a source of endless amusement out here...
And for 70s fashion, we do our best to forget

Yeah, just because we are a melting pot doesn't justify us killing english. I think it started getting bad when they made major updates to the dictionary every year to include new slang words, and don't even get me started on ebonics.

Aeires In reply to Eynowd [2005-01-04 04:17:13 +0000 UTC]
Ebonics. It's a really bad ghetto version of the english language. Instead of learning proper english, they pushed to have ebonics taught in school instead. Now obliterating the language is proper.
[link] "Speak proper english" gets translated into " slap mah fro." Yes, in america, we know how to dumb down things.

oh cool, Jeff ... wonderful cosmic movement :-D
btw i do that too, while the fractals are being generated in one version of artmatic, i just open the other version of artmatic and let that render other fractals i can use in my designs... but 50 hours to render is a bit too long for 1 design
