Description
Originally titled "Movement" because of the sweaping bands, I renamed this after Cosmy, aka the Cosmic Mermaid [link] poked me to post it.What do you do when you're in the middle of a 50 hour render? You open Fractal Explorer and make another fractal and wait 50 hours for the other render to finish before you can render this one. Hey, I can only look at a timer for so long.

Very stylish. Reminds me of those colored jars of sand they used to sell at the vender shops in the Badlands.
Designer sand dunes, now that would be an interesting artform.

Haven't seen those in years. I wouldn't mind getting my hands on one.

Thanks. This was a completely new formula, so I can't really say I was going for a certain type of image, but this one seemed to have turned out okay, which is cool.

Thanks. I need to reword that again. The 50 hours was the UF render that I was waiting to finish before I could render this one. I think this took 3 hours, which is kinda long for FE, but very bearable. After spending over 80 hours on Serengeti (26 hours before I stopped it, and another 55 once I fixed the problem), long UF images don't seem to bother me as much anymore. UF is very friendly to system resources, but if I did that in Apophysis, I'd go insane because it grabs every byte of free memory it can.
Don't stare at this too long.

Oh yeah. I still love to tinker with FE from time to time, especially since I've only used about a quarter of the formulas.

Thank you. Absolutely right. This was made with Fractal Explorer, which is a simpler program. I did all my work with that program when I was starting into fractals, so I still have a heart for the software. Can't give you as good of images as Apophysis and Ultra Fractal, so I won't be using it as much.

I really like it, you should render a larger version and sell prints of it.
Would look cool fairly big in a frame, modern art style.

Thanks. I'll try that and see what it looks like. Fractal Explorer has problems with smoothness and large renders, but it sounds worth a try.

Oh, not for this one. Sorry for the confusion. I made this when I was rendering Turbines, but didn't have the resources to render two images at the same time, so I had to wait for this one. I think this took about 3 hours. Thanks for the feedback, I'll edit that real quick.
