Here is my first completed model of 2013! This is the Tamiya 1/48 scale Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat. The kit went together like a dream and I would highly recommend Tamyia kits.

Overall I'm quite happy with how this build turned out. I used Tamiya paints to paint the blue on this model and it seemed to go on quite nicely after thinning the paint. As for the decals I had a bit of a problem with them going on over the detail in a few areas. Hopefully as I learn more I'll get better at putting them on in areas like that. The antenna is a piece of string painted with metallic aluminum paint.

I will be starting the next build tonight or tomorrow, its an 1/72 scale Academy A-10A Thunderbolt II.
