This piece really catches the eye. I love how all the hands are positioned. Perfect composition. It is very symbolic. I especially like how he doesn't seem to mind the hands, he almost looks serene, as if he knows that all set backs are short lived.

it's an awesome picture, really. Great concept, and what I really like is the eyes. They look so empty but still trying to escape, I don't know... The facial expression is nice, and the fact it's looking right, too ("into the future", it's the not forever part, right?). Maye the framing could have been a little more to the right, just to show the whole face.

i love that expression on his face... he's like anybody, stressed out and overworked, but sometimes... he's just so refreshing!!
and so optimistic about the future. much more so than me.

That we have to accept the complications that will arise in our life, but if we look toward the future, we can see ourselves in an entirely new perspective.
What was it meant to convey?

beautifully put
thank you for sharing
the meaning for me is fluid... right now it reminds me of why i love my husband who is thousands of miles away, and how strong he is smart and talented and someday other people will notice, too. but not yet. but it's also about the simplicity of the forms of hands and face, the light, the contast. touch.
that's the way i am with all of my work, really. it's why i say so little about it and ask other people what they think. i think it's more important to see what my image says to you without me saying a word... does that make sense?

Hmmm... I'm not exactly sure what it says to me... But I like how the tight crop gives a sense of intimacy to the photo. And the business of all the hands give a sense of claustrophobia. But the expression on his face is an expression of hope and freedom... which contrasts nicely with the rest of the photo.
