hmm they dont really have a common border but maybe pebblepaw could accidentally wander into fourtrees area? unless maplepaw possibly goes onto windclan territory?

Oh that's right~
Maybe Maplepaw chases a squirrel across fourtrees or something? Or what you said, with Pebblepaw wandering into the fourtrees area.

I can start~
It's okay, take your time,
Maplepaw raced across the forest, gradually nearing the Thunderclan border. Her lithe legs pounded and her breaths came out quickly. She was closing in on the squirrel that she had been chasing. Had she not missed the leap earlier, she wouldn't be in this situation. Pushing off her legs, Maplepaw sunk her claws into the squirrel. She purred with satisfaction. But when she looked around, she realized she had entered the Fourtrees area.

In a similar situation, Pebblepaw was racing after a small hare, trying to keep his breathing even as he surged after it. WindClan cats were known for rabbits and hares, and he still hadn't caught one; it was embarrassing, and he was determined to get this one. So determined, in fact, that he didn't look where was going, so caught up in the case that he moved off WindClan territory without noticing the border scent. The hare got an edge, and Pebblepaw pushed himself further to try and keep up, but stopped immediately as he stopped another cat, stopping so quickly he nearly fell over. The hare raced away while he struggled to regain his footing, staring at the other cat nervously. "I... um..."

Maplepaw blinked in surprise. "Oh great Starclan, I'm so sorry! Was that your prey?" Maplepaw blinked apologetically, suddenly feeling really guilty. Maplepaw noticed the tom's nervous glancing, and mewed, "I won't hurt you, this is neutral ground." Which was true.

"No! No no, um, my..." he frowned, realizing he hadn't even looked at her prey and even though he was sure he'd saw the hare dart off in a different direction, he wanted to make sure. Her catch was a squirrel, and he was relieved at least that that was simple. "No, mine was a hare," he repeated, managing to finish his thought this time. "And it... it got away. I didn't even realize I'd chased it here..." He was relieved that it was only neutral ground and fourtrees and not something more serious, like wondering onto ThunderClan territory, but it was still embarrassing to have missed his own borders. "Are we even allowed to catch prey once it leaves our territory? I... actually don't really know."

"Oh, good." Maplepaw shook her head. "I have no idea. I would hope so, otherwise I would be in great trouble." Maplepaw paused and sat down to lick her claws. She darted a glance at the grey tom, and mewed, "I can help you catch another hare if you'd like. I'm fast, even if I don't have much experience. It would be nice to learn."

Pebblepaw shuffled his paws awkwardly for a moment, trying to determine whether it was okay to let a ThunderClan apprentice assist him in catching prey for WindClan. He'd never heard a rule forbidding it, but he'd certainly never heard one in favor of it, either. "I guess... as long as neither of us go onto each other's territories, we can? I don't want to bring you onto WindClan and get us in trouble... or vice versa..." He frowned, glancing around the Fourtrees quietly. "But I don't know where it went either. They're really fast..."

"Right." Maplepaw flicked her ears. "I did see that the rabbit went in the direction of the rocks." Maplepaw gestured with her tail pointing to the tall rocks that the leaders stood on during the Gatherings. "We should probably check there first, and if we can't find it, we can try finding another." Maplepaw didn't want either of them to get in trouble, so she decided that they should keep to neutral ground for the time being. She glanced backwards quickly, but then headed in the direction that the rabbit had escaped to, slowing her paw steps and treading the soft grass quietly.

Pebblepaw followed her gaze towards the rocks, wondering how easy or difficult it would be to locate the hare there. Would it have taken shelter in the boulders and hide away? Or would it have kept running on, sure that its speed was greater than its pursuer? He wasn't sure which scenario would be more difficult, taking a slow breath as he considered how much work this was going to be--but with a cat from another clan watching, he couldn't exactly give up and make himself and his clan out to be weak. "Okay. Thanks," he added, taking a few cautious, quiet steps towards the rocks before looking towards the she-cat again. "I'm Pebblepaw, by the way."

Maplepaw flicked her ears in acknowledgement. "I'm Maplepaw." Maplepaw slowed down and let Pebblepaw take the lead, not wanting him to think she was bossy. Maplepaw sniffed the air, not exactly sure how to hunt rabbits. She decided to tread quietly on the grass until Pebblepaw said otherwise.

"Nice to meet you," he meowed politely, dipping his head and hoping she was trustworthy--but she hadn't done anything yet... he didn't really have any reason to believe she was going to do anything later, either. Taking a breath, he turned towards the rocks, walking slowly and as quietly as he could. He didn't know if the hare had come this way, but it felt smarter to check, just in case. "So," he whispered, knowing how good rabbits' hearing was. "Do you usually hunt rabbits? In ThunderClan?"

Maplepaw flicked her tail in acknowledgement. "I've caught one or two," She whispered in reply. She was fairly fast and had tracked the rabbit silently until she was close enough to give chase. However, the terrain was different, tripping the rabbit up, while the hollow had no undergrowth like she was used to. "The ground is a bit different though." She froze suddenly, catching sight of the rabbit ducked behind a bush near the Fourtrees. "There!" She hissed to Pebblepaw. "What should I do?" She asked him, not sure if there was a specific way to hunt rabbits. She figured he was the expert, coming from Windclan and all.

Never the optimist, Pebblepaw hadn't expected them to locate the rabbit so quickly, let alone at all. He blinked in surprise and ducked with her, his green eyes blinking again as he stared at it in wonder. "I've only caught one with a warrior's help," he admitted, looking down at his paws and flexing them into the dirt. It was embarrassing to admit as much, but now that they were close to catching it, he didn't exactly want continue any illusions that he was an expert on this. "But--well, the two... general techniques... are..." he took a breath, suddenly nervous as he tried to recall his training. "Speed and stealth. If you're fast enough, you just have to chase them until you catch them. Otherwise... they have huge ears, so they can hear everything. You have to slowly, slowly, slooowly get as close as you can. And then, if you don't manage to kill it in one pounce, then you just have to go back to the um... the speed technique again. I'm not that fast yet... I'm working on trying to get my speed up."

Maplepaw nodded, not wanting to dwell too long on Pebblepaw's fault to make him feel bad. She sat quietly, taking in the techniques. "Well," she mewed thoughtfully, "I'm pretty fast, so you could maybe chase the rabbit to me? If I get on the other side? That's something we do to chase rabbits in the forest, but it should work out here, too." Maplepaw waited for Pebblepaw's reply, not wanting to start a chase without his approval.

Pebblepaw stared at her for a moment, considering that plan. He didn't think it would work well in the moorlands--there wasn't a lot of cover, so it was very hard to sneak around out of the view of the prey. But in ThunderClan, with the trees everywhere, it made sense that they'd worked out methods to use all the cover to their advantage, though he thought all the trees and roots would just trip a WindClan cat up. "Okay. I'll stay here, you go around... and then... I'll chase it towards you?" he repeated, trying to make sure he had the plan right before he did anything.

Maplepaw nodded. Once she had gotten Pebblepaw's approval, she began stalking towards the rabbit very slowly. She was careful to keep her tail off the ground, like her mentor had taught him. She kept her eyes trained on the rabbit, occasionally glancing down to avoid stepping on any twigs or leaves. The closer she got to the rabbit, the more excited she became. She could barely refrain from swishing her tail everywhere. She inched behind the rabbit. Once she crouched behind the rabbit, she sat, haunches taught, waiting for the rabbit to come hurtling towards her.

Pebblepaw watched Maplepaw in anticipation, keeping his eyes trained on her as she slowly moved closer and closer to the rabbit. To think that this might work--! Of course, there was always the possibility of Maplepaw deciding to take the prey back to her own clan. It was nice of her to help him, but he didn't know her well enough to judge what would happen by the end of this encounter; the rabbit wasn't on WindClan territory anymore, after all. Taking a breath when it looked like she was close enough, Pebblepaw jumped out from where he was hiding and charged towards the rabbit, praying to StarClan that it would run straight into the she-cat's claws.

Maplepaw stiffened her muscles as Pebblepaw chased the rabbit to her. She watched carefully as the rabbit immediately lifted it's head, eyes wide in alarm, and started to hare towards her. She kept still, eyes flashing in excitement. Once the rabbit was a tail-length away, panicked, it veered to the right. Maplepaw mentally cursed to herself, pushing off her paws and giving chase to the rabbit. The rabbit was much quicker, but Maplepaw's strides were longer. Her throat burned from running, but she kept chasing after the rabbit. Finally, after the rabbit stumbled on a root, Maplepaw leaped, her paws slamming into the rabbit. She bent over and delivered the killing bite before the rabbit could squirm out of her paws. She silently gave thanks as she took the rabbit in her jaws, taking it back to Pebblepaw and dropping it at his paws.

Great ^^ Sure thing
Comments is fine for me!
Dunlinpaw padded around camp, both bored and cold. It was the most terrible combination of all combinations possible! The she-cat sighed, and sat down with a thump. She shivered, and fluffed out her fur against the cold. Although she had much more fur than the average Windclan cat, it seemed as though her skin was more sensitive to the lower temperatures. Dunlinpaw briefly thought of going outside the camp to stretch her legs, but thought against it, knowing that going alone would be worse. She was a social cat- not one to go out by herself!

Pebblepaw was not so great with the cold--with fur that was short almost everywhere and his tiny frame, he felt like the cold winds hit him extra hard compared to his clanmates, and even worse out on the moors. Grimacing at the cold, Pebblepaw wandered around camp, not headed anywhere in particular, but rather sort of killing time until someone gave him something to do. He supposed he could ask, but nothing looked more enticing than the apprentice den right now, a place nice and sheltered from the cold. A particularly strong wind swept across the camp, and the tiny tom scrambled to brace himself against it, stumbling slightly and bumping--ever so slightly into Dunlinpaw. "Oh--" he gasped, turning towards her once the wind had passed. "Sorry about that. I... wasn't looking where I was going," he mewed, deciding that was less embarrassing than a WindClan cat who couldn't handle some wind.

Dunlinpaw blinked. "No worries." She smiled, then shivered. "It sure is getting cold now." She commented, glaring up at the sky as though that would suddenly change the weather. "And the wind really isn't helping." The she-cat huffed crossly. She had been looking forward to training, but getting up every day to face the cold was not her most ideal type of training. Speaking of getting up, going back to her nice and warm nest might be a good idea, she thought. Though doing something to warm herself up wasn't a bad idea either. She shivered again.

"I know," Pebblepaw sighed softly, his whole coat bristling as another cold wind blew over the two of them. "It's so cold! I bet ThunderClan cats and ShadowClan cats don't have problems like this, the trees probably just stop all the wind from hitting them." He doubted their leaf-bares constituted as warm, but anything had to be better than this. "Sometimes I wish I'd been born at a different time so I wouldn't have to deal with this, but... I know I'd still have to deal with it eventually..." He shrugged, shivering as he did before he looked back towards Dunlinpaw. "Do you want to go on a hunt? Maybe running will... make us warmer?"
