Drew this yestderday. Had much fun with Tintin and the background, although cleaning up the Tintin's outline was such a pain. Layers were so very useful w/ the colors . . . much nostalgia drawing this fanart. It was one of the few comics I ever read as a kid. Dad ended up getting us all the color books.

I remember seeing a long time ago a list of all the things Tintin and Snowy were called in different countries. Likely Holland was on there, but I don't remember all the different ones!

Tintin is an awesome adventure graphic novel! It's actually Belgian, written and drawn by a man named Herge (translated later into English, fortunately for us!). They were among the first comics that I read, back when I little. He's a reporter and he keeps getting into trouble finding mysteries-- some of his escapades include busting drug rings, going to the moon, and stopping plots to take over small countries. I'd recommend trying "The Black Island" or "Tintin in Tibet" if you are interested. There are a twenty three of them I think, about sixty-two full sized pages each.

Admittedly I've always hated Tintin, don't know why but I do- sorta like Winne the Pooh('cause he sounds like a childmolester when he speaks) - But you've made a very good drawing of him- one of his hands looks a bit wonky though...

well, I understand there's a cartoon but I've never watched it. :-/ (child molester? *Scary*) Most books are better anyway! And it probably would have originally been produced in French anyway and dubbed over in English. English dubs usually suck, I have discovered, exceptions being Cowboy Bebop and Studio Ghibli films. Sorry for the rant; I feel pretty strongly that something should be watched in its original language!

I totally agree! I can't understand how people can stand dubbed shows, especially abroad- it's a hassel trying to watch tv 'cause everything is dubbed into the language in whichever country you are in at the moment. Fortunately we don't have that problem here (sweden), you don't happen to be from around here too?

Lol, you should see anime dubbed into french sometime... I'm not sure even the french understand them
I only wondered about you nationality, 'cause most swedish people have a problem with dubbed shows- guess it's 'cause it's very rare for anything to be dubbed from its original language here(except for kids shows of course since they can't actually read...)- it's subs all the way

Yay for Bleach! ^.^ Started reading it this summer and it's really fun, and I've started watching the anime as well . . . My source is YouTube.com (I think I'm on episode 72 or so now?) . . . They have alot of anime there, but it's rather confusing to navigate and they've started getting picky about people uploading it to their site. *sigh*. Oh well.

Nah, youtube ain't no good anymore- they've removed all bleach episodes, and now they're also starting to take down pretty much everything else with anime too *sigh* but they have up to ep. 101 at bleachexcile. I just hope no one'll remove those too...!

Wow, that's real nice ^__^ Only thing I can think of off the bat is Tintin's head is a little too angular (not round enough) ^-^;;
