Something tells me that this could've been the weapon that Malcolm Reynolds should've used in Fire Fly given that the show has a futuristic space western vibe. In case if he's going to keep it simple, might as well be a hammer type, if it's going to be a gunfight; then Gas pump it is.

it looks great, but, i cant help bout point out that it would be extremely uncomfortable to hold with the gas conversion in place, i could recommend removing the grip attachment point and having the gas cartridge straight backwards parallel to the barrel.

Hello, thank you for the input. Yes it is pretty uncomfortable. But it's kinda for aesthetic sake though.
I'm not a gun expert but I tried having the fn p90 airsoft and used it as a handgun. It's still can shoot pretty well. So I guess it's kinda plausible. Only for the style.

Awesome looking design for the hammer type. The hybrid system wouldn't allow you to grab the grip though. The gas cartridge section is where your wrist would be. A simple solution (although less visual) would be to do what air pistols do now. Include the gas cartridge in the grip itself. If you wanted it to still be visible it could replace the "Accessories holder" under the barrel. Keep up the good work!

This is an awesome design ... basically able to change between common ammo to silent gas-launched ammo (darts and mini-grenades as well as impact bbs). Β Just a question ... what is the function/feature of the "accessories" located at the underbarrel?

Yeah I thought that would be a problem to. But I kinda experimented by holding a FnP90 with one hand and point it like a handgun. It's not really comfortable. But I think it's doable.

I was thinking the same thing at first, and it would definitely make it hard to aim, but if it's firing in a way similar to an airsoft gun (using compressed air to propel the round) then there'd be minimal recoil. Given that the gas chamber is only blocking your wrist if you are USING the gas chamber, I think it could theoretically work.

Yeah, I feel that too.. That's why I offered the commissioner to make it hybrid. Because the design is too "manly" and the fact that it doesn't make loud noise annoys me somehow...
