hi there, i'm so in love with this beautiful steampunked computer. did you ever do a how-to for it? i've looked a bit and couldn't find one. would dearly love to know how you did all this for around $50 and made it look like a million.

I really like this one. There are so many clever ideas that you've incorporated in the design. I particularly like the scrollwork and the use of the nuts on top of the existing keys.
What did you use for the woodgrain? Is it an actual layer of wood or is it some sort of laminate?

Thank you very much! I used contact paper for the woodgrain, it gave me the effect I wanted while keeping cost low.

I have a few things to to say about this computing device. First of all, it's excellent. Secondly, I read on your WordPress that if any was interested, you would post a how to article. And I am very interested on this cost you under 50$. Also, your desktop looks like it need some serious work. I'm a graphic artist, I can fix that. And lastly, I just had a few suggestions on other items you could steampunk. Either a radio, notebook, messenger bag, etc.
