Description
Downloaaaad for full dragonness. So a couple days ago I was like "GUYS I CAN'T STOP DRAWING DRAGONS." Here is the result. And it was done mostly because I wanted to draw some of the dragons Gia and Fayette encounter and their relative size to humans. This is about accurate.
Gonna start nerding out in order of the size lineup.
READ BELOW FOR NERDY NERDING:
Fayette: Your typical human with slight Abyssian traits. 5'6''. Athletic and has a natural affinity toward Dragons / Dragonkin / Drakkin. Her sister jokes that she was a Drakkin in her past life. Lulz.
Digging Gecko: The smallest of the common dragon breeds. They are not much different from Earth moles, except that they have six legs. Their front two are used primarily for digging, while the back ones propel them forward. They are nocturnal, but sleep an average of 18 hours a day. They tend to sleep out on flat, open rocks, and their hearing is exquisite. They also make for a tasty meal. Ratio of males to females is 3 to 1. They typically run rather than try to defend themselves.
Diet: Grubs, insects, other geckoes.
Aggressive: No.
Tamable: No. They're too darn small.
Snap Dragon: The second smallest of the common dragons. These fluorescent dragons live in heavily forested areas of the Stillwater Fields, as this is their best camouflage. They spend most of their days scaling trees and dangling their little anglar-fish glowing things to try and draw bugs close, then they fling themselves from the trees, nap the bugs in their teeth, and glide to the ground. Usually. The ratio of males to females is 1 in 20. They are docile, but will defend themselves by flaring the skin on their neck and tail to appear bigger.
Diet: Insects, berries, fruits, grasses - primarily vegetarian.
Aggressive: No - they're actually quite friendly and would probably eat out of your hand.
Tamable: Not exactly, but through exposure they can be trained minor tricks.
Grubble: You will never find another more dog-like dragon. In fact, Grubbles were the first dragons tamed on Lethos. Because of their small size and massive population, they are easy to handle and can be found in almost every household on Lethos. They are incredibly friendly in nature, and even the most wild of Grubbles can have a change of heart if offered fish. They are found throughout Lethos. Their wings offer them only a limited amount of flying, mostly used to boost them into trees. The ratio of males to females is half and half, and they defend themselves by biting or head butting.
Diet: Birds, lizards, smaller dragons, FISH (they love fish), chickens, cats, wild fruits.
Aggressive: Not in the slightest.
Tamable: The first to ever be tamed! It must happen while they're young though - they're not too bright as adults.
Ehecatl: The rarest and shiest of the dragons. These four winged dragons are covered in a thin layer of gold fur with white underbellies. They have only two arms, and long, serpentine bodies which they wrap around branches. They are found only in the northern most reaches of Lethos, hiding in the Amber Valley. They are very smart and playful - speculation is that they are just as intelligent as humans because they seem to talk to one another. Their population has been decreasing sadly, as they are hunted for their feathers and fur. The ratio of males to females is 1 to 4. They are very quick and light weight, and they tend to bolt at the sign of danger.
Diet: Fruits, berries, fish.
Aggressive: The males can be in the breeding season, but otherwise they're cool.
Tamable: Very, if they can be found.
Hallvardr: A hot-headed breed that takes great pleasure in running into things. The horns on its head are actually made of stone, though they are much smoother than the rest of its body. They are found in the western Stillwater Delta and northwestern Amber Valley. It is not a very intelligent race, known to be needlessly aggressive and incredibly territorial. The ratio of male to females is approximately 4 to 1. Their swinging club tail makes them very dangerous, as they can whip around and easily dislocate a kneecap, or hip. They are very hearty, and can easily move things up to 8x their own weight.
Diet: Smaller dragons, lizards, birds, small mammals, sand.
Aggressive: Very.
Tamable: Possible, but unlikely.
Melusine: One of the smartest dragon breeds, Melusine are primarily aquatic dragons that spend most of their days swimming in fresh water streams and pools hunting fish. They are incredibly agile when in the water, but out of water they have some trouble using their floppy paws to walk around. They are covered in a very fine layer of fur-like scales that allow them to reflect light while swimming, making it easier to hunt. There are no male Melusine dragons left, but the females have adapted so they don't need the fertilization and lay their eggs on their own. They defend themselves by swimming away or if cornered, creating a funnel of water that disorients the predator, allowing them to escape.
Diet: Fish, small birds, small lizards.
Aggressive: No.
Tamable: Yes. Fayette has one <3
Pachua: To'pe is one of these dragons! They're a less common breed that live on the southern islands off of the Stillwater Delta, but are also the most trainable and quite possibly the smartest. They spend a lot of time swimming and hunting for fishies. They are also the only breed of dragon that use sound as a means of fighting - in short, they unleash a blast of sound and air that stuns prey. This is also how they defend themselves. Their scales are quite soft and have feather-like ends so they can float on water. The male to female ratio is 2 to 1.
Diet: Fish, small mammals, small lizards, smaller dragons.
Aggressive: Only if they feel threatened.
Tamable: The most tamable there is.
Biawak: A mischievous race that live in the Amber Valley. These are also the more common of the two fire breathers. They are incredibly intelligent dragons that are built for sitting upright, making them look much more intimidating. They are also incredibly strong, with a powerful back and tail. They cannot see too well, however, and are best hunters in the daytime. The ratio of males to females is 6 to 1. They typically don't need to defend themselves, but if they do they use their massive front limbs and bone crushing teeth. Rrrr.
Diet: Smaller dragons, cattle.
Aggressive: Yes.
Tamable: No.
Urulรณki: Named by someone who clearly read Lord of the Rings and brought it to Lethos with them. One of the biggest dragons in the local area. They have powerful wings for flying, and a long, curling tail that can actually be used for grabbing. They are fire breathers, making them more dangerous than many other dragons. They have only one enemy, the Avion, but they avoid this breed by staying close to cliff walls and near the ground. The ratio of males to females is 28 to 1, so there's a lot of angry, Testosterone-driven Uruloki.
Diet: Everything - other dragons, cattle, even people.
Aggressive: Very.
Tamable: No.
Avion: Known as the Terror of the Sky, Avion is the largest and strangest of all the dragon breeds. There are only six left known two exist, and they're so massive that no one can quite understand where it is they go to hide, as their whereabouts are unknown. They look more like birds than dragons, but their scales are thin and featherlike, so they are the most nimble and flexible of the flyers. They cannot make sharp turns in mid air, however. There are two female Avion left, and four male. They don't need to defend themselves because they're BMF.
Diet: Everything.
Aggressive: Very.
Tamable: No. No way.
GOD guys I'm tired of typing this. Enjoy <3

Nobody. That's who.
You can train them to be little slobbering Lassie's, saving Timmys from the well and stuff like that. Or make them herd chickens.
