Description
Marowak: I mean... it HAS to in his team. It's one of the only Pokémon with a bone aesthetic that would fit Brook's skull jokes. I specifically went with the Alola variant, due to its "dance moves" which make for a decent enough reference to Brook's role as the bard/musician of the Straw Hat Pirates. The different bone attacks further reference his skull jokes
Attacks: Will-O-Wisp - Shadow Bone - Bonemerang - Flare BlitzWailord: Laboon. That's essentially it. It references the promise he made Laboon all those years ago. Amnesia could be seen as a twisted version of how neither of them (Brook and Laboon) had forgotten about the other and how they want to see each other again
Attacks: Water Spout - Amnesia - Dive - Body SlamHoundstone: acts both as a reference for Brook's... odd relationship with the dog Minks, his loyalty, and fallen comrades, something that is even further highlighted by Last Respects, which gets stronger with each defeated Pokémon in the team
Attacks: Crunch - Play Rough - Phantom Force - Last RespectsPolteageist: references his gentleman-nature and love for tea in general. Teatime furhter highlights this
Attacks: Giga Drain - Shadow Ball - Teatime - Nasty PlotKricketune: finally a Pokémon to reference his skill in the arts of music! Not only his skill with the violin is represented, but also his sword-fighting abilities due to its sword-like hands and attacks like X-Scissor
Attacks: X-Scissor - Perish Song - Sing - Bug BuzzAce Pokémon Mr. Rime: another reference for his jovial nature, as well as a nod towards his cane sword and ice abilities. Unfortunately, no real attacks to reference anything specific from Brook's arsenal
Attacks: Psychic - Teeter Dance - Ice Beam - Energy Ball
