Description
Poliwrath: it's not much, but it represents Jinbe's bulky body, his martial arts skills, and his Fish-Man heritage. Belly Drum represents the Drums of Liberation/Nika and what they mean to the slaves across the world, while Waterfall and Drain Punch feel like general Fish-Man (Karate) techniques, with Circle Throw in particular referencing the "Kairyu Ipponzeoi"
Attacks: Waterfall - Drain Punch - Circle Throw - Belly DrumLapras: references his gentle nature, as well as how he carries people on his back from time to time (be that literally or metaphorical). Surf is a prime example of his sailing skills, while Whirlpool represents a Fish-Man's ability to manipulate tides
Attacks: Surf - Brine - Whirlpool - Ice BeamSawk: an even deeper reference towards his martial arts/Fish-Man Karate. Brick Break is a clear reference towards his different "Tile True Punch" attacks while Close Combat and Reversal are just standard Fight moves that would fit his overall fighting style
Attacks: Brick Break - Close Combat - Reversal - Zen HeadbuttDhelmise: reflects his role as the Straw Hat Pirate's helmsman. Also, it being only found in the Seafolk Village in Sun and Moon seems fitting giving Jinbe's place of origin, the Fish-Man Island. Liquidation is a basic physical water move, which fits Jinbe, while Anchor Shot feels kinda right, giving Jimbe's role
Attacks: Gyro Ball - Anchor Shot - Liquidation - Steel RollerAce Pokémon Swampert: not the best overall connections with Jinbe, but it works well with the Ace Pokémon of Zoro and Sanji. It's also quite bulky and tough, which fits Jinbe's overall stats. Dive just fits Jinbe, while Outrage represents the outburst he had when Who's-Who came up with wild speculations based on racial bias
Attacks: Earthquake - Dive - Outrage - Body Press
