Description Haha, yet another lame title. I know the marble wall looks nothing like the gate of time, but I honestly can't be arsed to think of a better title lol. I'll save the good titles for the next shoot for this costume hahaha. XD; I was also thinking about going into my process for this costume a bit here, but decided that it would be more appropriate when the costume is actually finished (as I mentioned on my first SS Zelda submission, the costume wasn't finished in time for this shoot, which is why it's just portraits. ^ ^; ). I hope you all enjoy this photo regardless.

Zelda is a one of a kind look. Most pepole cant pull her off but you where born looking like "The princess of destiny". And how did you stile the wig? (sorry for spelling)

I totally agree with everyone else that you are one of the best Zelda cosplayers out there. You pay attention to very little details and in the end, get it spot on! I am making my Zelda cosplay right now and I am currently trying to figure out a way to make the ribbons stay. I know you used some kind of clip, but what do they look like? The clips I already have are way to big >-<

I use a wig clip for the crocheted yarn that fills out the earlock, then I attach the wraps to the yarn with small snaps.

... seriously! Everytime you cosplay Zelda, I think you're even more perfect for her! You do EVERY version of her absolutely perfect! Hell, I'm almost afraid of cosplaying her, knowing I'll never reach your point of perfection!

akuriko In reply to Enilokin [2012-05-09 19:40:51 +0000 UTC]

Thank you! And you shouldn't be afraid. If you want to cosplay her, you should certainly go for it! I think you would look very pretty as her. ^ ^

Akuriko~ You're just the cutest Zelda!

Where did you buy your wig? I'm looking for a pretty blonde wig for a secret costume idea of mine. I almost bought one from Arda but then they ran out of stock on the one I liked.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

akuriko In reply to SheikChan [2012-03-26 03:05:40 +0000 UTC]

I bought it from a chinese seller on ebay. ^ ^ I didn't buy it this thick, though. I bought two of the same wig and combined them into one wig. ^ ^;

Is that pretty hard to do?

akuriko In reply to WordsmithsHammer66 [2012-04-01 16:18:39 +0000 UTC]

It's not so much difficult as it is time-consuming. ^ ^;

Ohhh~ I was looking on eBay. I usually buy from the same seller but I haven't found the right wig. I thought about sewing a wig into another but I worry that I'll just make it look like poop u__u

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

akuriko In reply to SheikChan [2012-03-26 04:10:45 +0000 UTC]

It's not that difficult, just take out wefts from one wig and sew it between the wefts on the other wig. It's very time consuming, but the method is very simple.

I love your wig *___* how did you do the front hair?

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

akuriko In reply to Chibi-MeNanA [2012-05-09 15:04:09 +0000 UTC]

Thank you! For the front, I crocheted a filler for each earlock, used wig clips to secure them in the wig, covered them with wig fiber, then wrapped them.

Omg so perfect! *o* I saw that you said you dyed the dress, what color was the fabric before and what dye did you use? I'm making zelda right now too and I have a hot pink fabric I already made the dress out of, and I wanna dye it, I just dont wanna mess it up >w<;

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

akuriko In reply to AshleyCassaday [2012-03-26 03:17:27 +0000 UTC]

My fabric was originally a pale baby pink. I used Dylon's hot pink fabric dye to dye it (the one with the flamingo on the package). Dyeing fabric is really very simple. Just follow the directions on the package. Just remember that it's best to go with a dye-in-the-bucket-hang-dry method than the washing-machine-dryer method. You have more control over the color the fabric is dyed that way.

If you don't mind sharing, how on earth did you get the detailing on the dress so perfect? Is that ribbon? Paint?
