It's heavily hinted that Salem killed Summer. And how she knew Ruby was her daughter? Ruby's a clone of Summer! I guess Ruby's personality is identical what her mother's was like.
Did you know that "Red Like Roses part 2" was not only between Ruby and Summer, but performed by Casey and her mother? Fitting.

Super creepy. I think a lot of people guessed that Salem killed Summer, but what I wonder is how did Summer learn that Salem can't be killed? Maybe she tried to fight her and learned the truth the hard way. If so, then no wonder nobody knew what happened to her. Ozpin would NEVER have sent her to confront Salem like that, so she didn't even tell him what she was planning to do. Poor woman.
And now that I think about it, it's very possible that Raven was with her on that secret mission. That would explain why Raven said that she's seen "people come back from the dead", why she's so afraid of Salem and why she hates Ozpin so much.

I wish I could spoiler tag so people dont get angry if they read my comments lol X'D but like damn, team RWBY rekt them hard. The fight choreography was seriously top notch. I didnt like the Qrow team up part though. Logically it made no sense lol

did she really kill summer, or was she just putting that false image in ruby's head?, in order to trick her?

o she's definitely responsible but as to did she personally kill her that remains to be seen. salem seems to prefer letting others do the leg work.

well maybe ruby can use the last question on the lamp to find out more of how that happen.

Maybe, but that would put her into an argument with her friends, because that goes against their morality. And i think that even if Summer was killed by Salem, where is the proof, where is her body? And plus, there is something that was on my mind before: Are Salem and Ozpin the only humans that are inmortal? What about their siblings? At least one of them could had survived the first extinction

I think you mean their offspring's, and I've no idea if any of those four girls have immortality like they do, aside from using magic.

True, but what if they had actually reincarnated and are living inside the current maidens?

pauljordan In reply to Danielg0405 [2020-04-07 02:04:09 +0000 UTC]
then the spirits of the first four would've awakened by now, and they would be like their father.

That's a pretty good theory, and that would be a great plot element for the series. And also, it might be possible that one of them might know of a way to stop Salem without killing her

pauljordan In reply to Danielg0405 [2020-04-07 11:22:41 +0000 UTC]
and that's why I've got a theory that I had for a long while, my theory is that ruby's silver eyes, not only possess the power to petrify grimm in her sights, but I believe that her silver eyes have the power to purify Salem's corrupted state, she'll still be immortal, but at the very least, it'll bring back the woman Salem use to be before she became what she is today.

I think i've heard about that in a comment of another picture. But that would be a good theory, since it's Ruby we're talking about, she would kill monsters for her friends, but about another human or faunus, never once i'd seen her take a human life. And that is great, because Yang and Blake's only human kill was Adam, and they said that even though it was the right thing, they don't want to experience that feeling ever again, but carrying that burden for the rest of their lives, a burden that, in my opinion is not something that Ruby should be allowed to carry

Well, maybe what i had said before sounded a bit naive, but well, team RWBY has friends and allies for a reason, right?
π: 0 β©: 1
pauljordan In reply to Danielg0405 [2020-04-07 20:22:35 +0000 UTC]
yeah, and speaking of allies, I hope they'll be friends with the ace-ops again, once they get through to them, and once they convince them, Winter, and the entire atlas military to NOT arrest them, and let them help save their kingdom as much as possible.

Danielg0405 In reply to pauljordan [2020-04-07 20:34:29 +0000 UTC]
Yes, but first, they must deal with Salem approaching to Atlas, from which i have a theory about that. What if someone that was part of her internal circle before Cinder, Emerald, Mercury and Hazel reappears in Atlas and has a great power that is equal as Salem's in terms of strenght, and trΓes to stop her and buy some time for everyone in the city and in mantle to evacuate. My guess is that this person could be someone related to Cinder, like her long lost older brother, and also Ironwood's prodigal son. Wouldn't that be cool? I am expecting a twist like that, it happens in every kind of anime.

pauljordan In reply to Danielg0405 [2020-04-07 21:00:37 +0000 UTC]
that's true, but I hope, in volume 8, that power hungry bitch dies, cause Cinder has been nothing but trouble since the start of the series.

Danielg0405 In reply to pauljordan [2020-04-07 21:34:01 +0000 UTC]
Hey, even someone as Cinder must had had her reasons to search for power, she said that she wanted to be strong and being feared by everyone. But aside from that, there's almost nothing about her past, what made her wish for power, why and how did she joined Salem in first place and more importantly, does she have a familily? I mean, i investigated her background and there's nothing about her having a family, all that is said is that she had lost everything and was alone and powerless, but that's it. It's true that Cinder has to pay for all the things she did, but if we only question her based on baseless assumptions and don't understand her whole story, we will never be able to find in ourselves the drive to try and forgive her, is not always black and white. We can't say that we truly understand someone until we hear everything about them and then see if that person deserves mercy and redemption. Otherwise we will be fooling ourselves and force our beliefs onto somebody that can explain by themselves. Just an opinion, that's all.

I know, but just when I thought she met her end at volume 5, I believed pyrrha's death had been avenged, but on episode 2 of volume 6, she just had to survive that fall, and that really pissed me off.
